I've been watching the game for five decades. In the old days the players often had a fight, and if you were really lucky a mass brawl. That's how they sorted things out. Nowadays it's all play acting and handbags. If Tevez or the other tart had been mortally wounded I could understand the fuss but it's all a load of bolleaux enacted by people earning more in one week than I earn in a year.

You can't go round kicking players in the back of the legs deliberately... or elbow them in the face. That's how injuries occur, if they want to stop the best players playing, then mark them up and cut them out the game... not go out to put them out the game.

It looks like Chelsea are struggling to get Gary Cahill and David Luiz fit for the CL final next weekend:

Could be starting the game with two make-shift centre backs! Pity Alex wasn't retained!

On the plus side Bayern Munich were thrashed 5-2 by Borussia Dortmund at the weekend in the German cup final. Dortmund are very much the dominant club in Germany at the moment.

Yes I watched that later on. An excellent result!

However, that was the Westphalian's cup final. The cheating Bavarians have their eyes on the big prize.

That's an interesting interpretation. I don't want to take anything away from City, because over the years their fans have stuck with 'em through thick and thin, and they now have a beneficial owner who is more interested in what he can put in rather than take out.

So in general terms. Increasingly we have a number of players who make a sport out of winding up players for an hour or so, and then go running after the officials, when they finally retaliate. I've had enough of all this play acting. If like me you watched your grandkid's leagues you would notice that they are copying this sort of behaviour. It's all very well saying, "Ignore them!" but people at Barton's end of the Spectrum, in spite of trying, can't do it.

As for the game going out of the window, as you know I've just been to the Fatherland to watch a sell out game. I more or less got the  last couple of tickets. My friends said, "But GJ, they are 30€ apiece!!" They still can't get their heads around our pricing. The game was as good as anything I've seen this season, and they didn't have a bunch of overpaid tarts falling over for no apparent reason.

Shame Holty's not in the side is all I'll say!  Second Prem English goalscorer after Rooney and has scored against all the top sides but not good enough for bloody England.  Woy should have taken a chance on Holt.  What's the worse that could happen? England have a shit tournament?  Oh, that will be a change! (sarcasm set to 100%)

Carnelian

I can't believe Zat Knight is negotiating a new contract. I was hoping that we'd seen the last of him...

Klasnic, Reo-Coker, Gardner and Steinsson have all gone along with a bunch of wasters like Sean Davis, Robbie Blake and Paul Robinson. It was revealed that Sean Davis cost the club Β£5.4million in wages. He played 3 times in 3 years.

Jussi is in talks but it's pretty much expected he'll walk. West Brom was a rumoured destination.
