Morning all

Really pleased with the win last night. We got lucky with the sending off but it was a pen and the ref has no choice under the rules.

Yet more bad reffing in the Wigan - Man U game. He ruled out a perfectly good goal from Wigan and then didn't give a stonewall pen for handball for Man U

The sooner they bring in technology and/or a review panel who can watch the footage at the time the better.

Going to the Wigan game on Monday - my mate won tickets for the game at our Ladies game and asked me!! Whoo hoo, free footie

Enjoy the game, Veggie.  If I had to chose one team out of the top four to win the Premership it would be Arsenal but, saying that, I really hope that Wigan can avoid relegation as I rather like Roberto Martinez

Hi Avalon

Yep I will enjoy it thanks. Money has been quite short this year so I've had to really cut back on my Emirates games but my mate let me have her spare ST for the Man City game for free and now another mate has asked me to go with him to the Wigan game so I am one lucky Gooner.

You know, I love Martinez too and would love him to be the replacement for AW when he actually leaves us so, if we could guarantee winning all our remaining games, I wouldn't be absolutely devastated to lose to Wigan as I would love them to stay up too.

FM

Sorry Disley!

I'm sure AW will have them fired up, they got a rollicking and a half after the non performance at QPR so I hope some of it stuck.

They switched off at Wolves as well for chunks of the game - way too complacent at times. I'm worried as we will have the useless Djourou in again at CB as Koscielny has another suspension to serve.

We've had some horror results and performances this season too

Still, Norwich did our bit for the Arsenal cause last week!

It does, but it's no disgrace for Norwich to lose to Man City.  It would have been nicer not to lose by quite so many, though!  As the MOTD pundits mention so often, three years ago we lost to Colchester United 1-7 at home in League One, so overall the season's been better than most Norwich fans could have realistically hoped for in August.

Thanks Veggie , to be fair, they weren't terrible and had their moments, just that Man City were just too good and Norwich looked a bit shell shocked towards the end.

Pinky  so pleased to see you here, I lose track of people on FB too easily lol

Well done the Baggies, now you can build on what you've achieved this season x

I'm off to the Wigan game tonight, hope our lot don't take it as casual as they did at QPR or we will lose. Watched our Ladies lose 2-1 yesterday to a last kick of the game goal to Frankfurt in the CL 1st leg. We have no chance out there next week. They are miles above anything any English club can do

That's good news about Muamba, hope he continues to improve rapidly.

We were utter tripe tonight, didn't turn up collectively, had the godawful Djourou at CB, lost Arteta almost immediately and then had to put up with Wigan timewasting from 10 minutes in. The useless Mariner was roundly booed off at the end of the game. He seemed to give every decision to them and only booked Al Habsi for timewasting with a minute of injury time to go.

Wigan played well and were applauded off at the end by the fans that were still in the ground - as for our own sorry lot they were a disgrace to the shirt tonight

Good times at the Hawthorns!

Very pleased for the Albion supporters PB,my OH is relieved not to be in the mix at the bottom, whilst i am dreading the next few weeks, everyone around here is saying we won't go down but it is still possible and when AM is still going into every game defending for our lives it is frustrating being a Villa supporter right now.Every time he is interviewed after a game i want to punch the TV.

fOf course the worst case scenario Blues coming up and us going down is still on it would cost me dearly,i would have to leave the country.

Hi Veggie, very mixed season for you, shock result last night but i like Wigan and they are the team in the mix that i would like to stay up.

Hope everyone here enjoys the last few games whoever you support, then we can all enjoy/suffer the Euros lol

A thoroughly enthralling game from my neutral perspective! I cannot recall having watched a team attempt to β€œrun the clock down” from such an early stage of a match before. But then again I doubt very much that Wigan have ever found themselves 2 goals up away to one of the big boys after 9 minutes before.

Good luck to them – I really hope they stay up now!
