Our best player this year.

Just to add, the Chelsea fans booed him off the pitch when he was on a stretcher. Classy bunch.

Bad news for Lucas and Liverpool. We're suffering the same thing with Sagna. One of the best right backs in the PL and he breaks his ankle at Tottenham.

The Spurs fans didn't just boo him as he lay getting treatment at the side of the pitch where he went down. They spit on him and abused him too.

Makes you wonder sometimes

Yeah he might send out your B team that beat our second string.

The B team that cost 176 million!

I was really proud of our team, bit gutted to concede in the way we did but not too bothered overall.

Bit of a bum draw for the two championship teams. They could have both done with the income that a two legged tie against a big club would have generated

Just popping in (believe it or not, I had lost my bookmark deep in cyberthingy ) and just sorted it all out again to say I have not forgotten you all and will be back with a vengeance!  Stand by your beds, the Baggies fan is back!

Gobsmacked at last night's result, went to bed early (long story, but to shorten it, I have been diagnosed with chronic sciatica and the painkillers can sometimes knock me out as well as the pain) and last night was one of them.  Watching the Europa League as Mr Pink has gone to bed with man flu and Dynamo Kiev have just scored'

Mr Meat, bet you are on top of the world (and PL).  Do I sometimes see you elsewhere on t'internet on footy threads??

Anyway take care all and speak soon xxxxxxxx

Nice to see you back! !

Do you have any spare players to loan us? Like a striker... or a rough tough defender of a  scandanavian persuasion?

Yes, as the drawer was taking place, it became clear that Group B was the toughest. Capello would have preferred it if England were in Group A or C as their base will be in Poland, but being in Group D should mean that England has a fair chance of progressing to the last 8.

El Loro

Dates and locations of the group matches involving England and Ireland are:

England will open against France in Donetsk on 11 June, play Sweden in Kiev on 15 June and end against Ukraine back in Donetsk on 19 June.

All of the Republic's group games will be in Poland, which pleased FAI chief executive John Delaney.

The Republic will start their campaign against Croatia in Poznan on 10 June, then face Spain in Gdansk on 14 June before playing Italy on 18 June back in Poznan.

Pinky  We are going to stick a homing device on you so you can't go awol again. You've been missed xx

Thanks for posting the groups El Loro. I am really looking forward to the tournament, there are some potential great matches there.

I don't think any of the groups are easy although Group A looks to be the easiest. Someone was saying that everyone in Group B is ranked above anyone in Group A!!

I'm glad they manage to show a few Championship games on the telly Joe. I enjoyed the Burnley v Leeds game recently immensely.

Gives those of us who spurn the evil Murdoch empire a bit of live footy

We are away at Wigan. Strangely I don't have high hopes for getting a result today. The club are screening the game live at the Emirates and every time they do an away screening something bad happens.

I don't think we have won one of games screened this way!

Good luck everyone today

FM

So pleased that we won and broke the curse of the away screening that we've suffered from in the past.

Impressive performances from the top teams today coupled with some very bad decisions by all accounts.

Brentford went out of the FA Cup to an early goal and Barnet are out too.

Disley - Hard luck mate, bad decision to send off Cahill

Pinky - excellent late equaliser from your boys xx

I misunderstood you Joe. I thought the game was one of the few that the Beeb were able to show during the season.

Still happy watching mate, hope you win

Listened to the game on 5 live. Claridge and Motson etc were saying that although Spearing got the ball he followed through and it was the follow through that deserved the straight red as the Fulham player would have had his leg broken if his foot had been planted.

Didn't see it but am going by what they were saying so not sure how accurate it is.

Sounded like Liverpool got the rough end of quite a few decisions tonight.

FM

CS - makes it all the sweeter although we have been helped by matches in our group having very topsy turvey results. Good luck to you tonight mate, much as I don't want Chelsea (or City) to win the CL before we do (some chance of us winning it) I do want the English clubs to do well.

Son is sweating on the Man U game tomorrow - I predict major fingernail chewing from him.

Disley - thought they would overturn it. Still doesn't help with the result of the game though. Might be better to have a committee of 3 or 5 retired refs to look at video evidence there and then and help the ref to make the right decision

FM

Think we only got ourselves to blame, things only started looking good few weeks ago... the draw against Napoli at home really did kill us. Proud of our side tonight though, think they knew we were going out but still kept on playing. At least we have some experience should we be in the CL next year.

Anyway... roll on City v United 2012 Europa League Final
