Was it Cahill that scored Disley? The beeb were giving the scorer as someone else on the tv but were saying it was Cahill on the radio.

Joe - your ref probably had 'scared of Fergieitis! Different Fergie, same reffing. Although the ref at OT obviously hadn't read the script!!

We were rubbish today from what I'm hearing from mates at the game - will watch the game tomorrow on the Arsenal player.

I'm going Tuesday to watch us get slaughtered by City's second string - ho hum

They've no fight. Last season and in past seasons there would be comebacks from two down to draw or even win, now one goes in and heads drop and it quickly becomes 2, 3, 4, 5... I know we were down to 10 today, but even in those circumstances there's been more fight in the past. I remember one where it was 0-2 with 9 men and it finished 2-2. No hope of anything similar now.

That pees you off quicker than almost anything else. We've had too many gutless players and performances too at Arsenal over the last few seasons. I actually think that we've got much better players now from the point of view of digging in and having a bit of a never say die attitude but they do get complacent - hence the late goal conceded on Wed and not turning up much today.

I still think your team and manager are good enough to to get a top ten finish but you need to start picking up wins to get the confidence back

That's the thing with mental health issues though Spongey, people with them hide them because of the prejudice that society has towards them.

I just don't know how football managers deal with the pressure without their mental health collapsing. There are times when I can't listen to a game or watch it because I'm so tense and stressed.

Gawd only knows how much worse it is for the managers. They have nowhere to hide.

RR  You're right. He has two young lads apparently - his poor family

Think KD has already told Liverpool fans that he's putting out a bunch of kids River at least that's what I heard on the radio.

I'm off to the Emirates tonight. I'm not expecting to win. City's B team could get a CL place I reckon.

Just want to see us compete, come through with no injuries or sendings off.

Oh and for someone to dump Nasri on his arse!

I fully expect our old boys to come back and haunt us though

Yea but I would imagine all of the above aside maybe Kuyt will get a game. Carroll needs a game. I am really frustrated with Kenny I want Carroll to get a full game he would have scored the winner on Sunday had Hart not had the game of his career. I wonder is Kenny just trying to build up his hunger or something. I would say Kenny will have Chelsea underestimate Liverpool and then put out a fairly strong team (for a cup fixture) Suarez, Agger, Pepe, Lucas and Adam should all get  rest. Then the likes of Carra who haven't played in a while will play.

Veggie, don;t think like that I don;t believe City are as good as everyone allows they are, if you let them they will capitalise on it but if you close them down give them no time on the ball they will grow frustrated. Keep the faith!

Well done River and hard luck Joe

Just back from the Emirates. I thought our second string competed pretty well with their mercenaries. The goal was a bit of a sickener - hoped we'd got out of the 'set piece for us, goal for the opposition' rut that we were in for much of the last couple of seasons.

I have no voice left as I spent the whole 90 minutes singing. Nasri got the worst reception I've ever seen an ex player get in the Wenger era. Toure got a warm reception and came and clapped the North Bank.

All in all I'm not too disappointed - except in Chamakh who was woeful all night. If some French club really want to pay 10 million for him I'd snap their hand off
