In some ways I preferred it when Norwich were still in the Championship.  I know it's not the done thing to say this but that league's wide open and not a foregone conclusion by the end of August.  How can a club like Norwich stand any chance against the likes of Chelsea, Man City?  The money involved is ridiculous and has corrupted the game and the refs who are in awe of monied clubs and their influence.  I think Norwich will get shitty ref decisions against them all season.  I can't see where the win's going to come from either.  I sound like an old git now, but it was so different (and better) before the Premier League and the money became ridiculous.

I turtelly agree! In our house it is the done thing to say that the Championship is more enjoyable. Everyone there supports the club. No having to queue behind gloryhunters (our gate doubles for the Premiership) and more games.

Carnelian  Haven't seen the game so don't know the ins and outs but know how you feel mate.

Saw our Ladies progress to the final of the Conti Cup where we will play Birmingham. They will probably win. We took one point out of 6 against them in the league this season and they have a knack of scoring very late lucky goals.

Jer xxx Boro doing really well this season

Yeh, Liverpool were hard done by at the weekend too.  I suppose sometimes you get the rub of the green and other times you don't. Probably our own fault we didn't wrap the game up, difficult when Stoke parked the bus after the pen but we missed a clear chance with Suarez at the end.

No I don't think so, the stats speak for themselves.  Prem refs consistently decide in favour of the so-called 'fashionable' bigger clubs, especially on their home turf.  Clubs coming up from the championship like Norwich are gatecrashing the millionaires' party and are seen as relegation fodder and are only there to make the numbers up in the prem, so get turned over by biased refs match after match.

I would say we were robbed plenty of times from last year and the year before... I still ain't got over that 97th goal at Stretford.

I'm satarting to feel really sorry for Torres, he is a shadow of not only the player but the man he used to be. His attitude completely stinks. I don't know if he is happy at Chelsea he didn't seem to celebrate the goals on Tue night, the 2 goals he created.

The best thing for him is to get away from the Premier League and the English media.

TONY Mowbray was today expecting to complete the signing of Manchester City  striker Alex Tchuimeni-Nimely.

The 20-year-old Liberia-born forward is set to join Boro on a 93-day loan  deal and is likely to link up with the squad for the trip to Crystal Palace  ahead of tomorrow’s game.

If, as expected, the deal does go through, Mowbray will be relieved to have  finally added some depth to his front line.

He said: β€œAlex is a lad we’ve been watching for a while.

β€œHe picked up an injury in the summer but has been back in training for a few  weeks now.

β€œI’ve spoken to (City coach) David Platt and Brian Marwood (City’s football  administrator) about him and they’ve allowed him to come here on loan.

β€œHe arrived last night and we hope to complete the deal today.

β€œHaving him here will give us some depth on the bench and some competition up  front.

β€œI’m sure he’ll be looking to impress and force his way into the team.”
