Thanks Deman, though I have to say I find it's more banter between Villa and Baggies fans than outright dislike such as the Wolves/Baggies thing and the Villa/Blues thing.  I will always cheer Villa on if they go further in the Cup (not difficult!) or things like that and I had some really good texts off friends who support Villa when we beat Arsenal and Liverpool last season.

I had a good laugh when the Blues went down!  Looking forward to the best 2 Midland sides playing each other again next season at the Hawthorns and Villa Park

So we can look forward to trips to the Liberty Stadium, Carrow Road (one I will definitely be making, Norwich have a nice bunch of fans and play the game the right way and Loftus Road and the ever lovely Neil Warnock (!)

I can never see Neil Warnock without thinking of the nickname he got given by Wednesday fans. It's an anagram - Colin Wanker!

I'm only just catching up with the w/e papers....... I note that Blatter and the rest of the FIFA top brass have free tickets to the best Olympic events, chauffeur driven cars, and subsidised five star hotels. This includes the people who said that the European press were telling lies about the corruption. The Sunday Times can't let it lie, and neither can I. Meanwhile the scratter papers and their dumb readers discuss the Brian Riggs situation as though it's a major event.

They were discussing him on R5 just now. He'd said some outrageous things about Manchester on some sorta Argentinian prog. Having said all that I would rather watch him in our league than another one. What he does on the pitch counts for more. You don't mind cheating so n so's like Ronaldo going but I hope that they make peace with Tevez, or at least get someone to give him good advice.

Papers claiming United are going to get Ashley Young, he would be a decent squad player but tbh i'd take Nani over him anyday.

Gera coming back to the Baggies possibly? woo hoo

Possibly not Darlo, according to the Star tonight, as Martin Jol has become Fulham manager and wanted to sign him when he was Spurs manager, theres a chance he may stay where he is... it depends how much he wants to link up with Roy Hodgson again and obviously if we are prepared to give him the deal he wants.  Personally, I would like to see him back, always liked him as a player and didn't want him to go to Fulham in the first place!

Peter Odenwingie is opening contract talks and I really hope he stays, he has been fantastic for us so far.

ION, I see that Bryan Robson has resigned from being the Thailand manager, hope this doesn't mean he is still having problems after his cancer treatment earlier this year. Fingers crossed for him.  My favourite player for a very long time

The guy a tw*t... a great player with such a crap attitude. The fans are getting fed up of him aswell now, our club captain aswell

He is rapidly becoming a professional moaner IMO.  He is a fantastic player, don't get me wrong but his attitude stinks.  I can't see what his problem is with Manchester, after all how long was he at Utd before transferring to City.  Here's a radical idea Mr Tevez, try going to a London club or going to Barca, Real or Inter and see how expensive the place is then.  It seems to me, if you are going to play for a club in a large city Manchester (after Brum of course), isn't that bad a place to be.  Maybe he should bring his family over for once and for all and let his talking be done on the pitch.

Rumours of a Β£5m bid for Cameron Jerome. I'd put that up there with spending Β£5m on Zat Knight in the 'what the hell are you doing?' stakes.

Of course it gets worse because they apparently want Β£8m, which is the kind of madness that makes me think I've stumbled into an alternate reality where the useless stump didn't go 20+ games without scoring...

Yeah, did see something on SSN about that. Will have to wait and see!

Saw the article on the E&S yesterday, great news and he does seem very happy down here.

It's definetly nothing to do with his health PB, some internal issue he wasn't happy about apparently. He sometimes does the ambassafor work for Utd though..

I still like Tevez as a player but as a person well things change. He has the cheek to moan after how long he's been there and Manchester City have actually given him time off to see his family and have tried their best to keep him happy.

If he's not happy they're best getting rid, can easily get someone else in because the club is biggger.

Disley, Pratley has left Swansea so could he be en-route to the Reebok?

Martinez to Villa LOL? Don't know what to make of that.

Better than Steve McLaren!

He's come out today to say there was no truth in the story Randy Lerner had cancelled his job interview with him today, after reading what Villa fans thought of the hair-islanded pillock on footie forums.

Yeah, right - bet the stupid sod was already practising talking pidgin Brummie..

The prices for English players are getting ridiculous, Andy Carroll for 35 million was shocking, but this week we've got a few more shockers. Phil Jones may be a talent, but Β£17 million? Please! I know people will say Rooney was transfered for Β£30million aged 18, but he was proven at international level by then, Jones isn't. He's played well for Blackburn for a season.

Β£20 million for Jordan Henderson is an even bigger joke, he's worth 5 or 6 million at best.

No wonder managers want to look abroad for players.

Crunchy Nuts

I agree Crunchy it's a right joke, too inflated. Although abroad they're just as bad with these certain clauses etc.

Watford will be getting a nice profit from Ashley Young's sale to United, on top of the Graham sale money that'll come in handy.

Not believing the Nasri rumours though, suspect him or the agent are trying to force Arsenal's hand regarding a new contract.

Yeah now that was a bargain, glad he got more first team action though as he was wasted on the bench. Saw your M6 tweet earlier, what was that about? LOL.

darloboy (Play The Game!)

So the transfer season has officially begun! Admittedly don't know too much about Henderson, but look at the stats he seems to produce a lot of goal chances which I hope he can replicate at Anfield. For a young player the price is a lot but the fact he is English seems to bump up the price a lot. Here's hoping it works out!  Finally taking a step in the right direction.
