Good win at OT yesterday.
Now after the inevitable thrashing by Chelsea hope the Baggies can get their season really started...
Good to see ole Baconface crapping himself again.
Over the last two or three years we have seen very wealthy owners become part of football clubs and therefore go on this kamikaze effort to spend their money," he said.
"It is amazing the amounts of money that are being bandied about in the present day game.
"Some people may think it could be dangerous. But if they have that kind of money, they are certainly using it.
"I don't see it abating. The kind of spending we are seeing at the moment will be here for two or three years, until such time as they understand you can't necessarily achieve all the time by spending."

ROFL Meaty, focus on putting all your positive energy into all the new City players although I don't blame you for being nosey at the rival teams.

Tell that to own your manager... the guy is more interested in who we have signed than his own team.
Bellers is off to Cardiff...
Milner currently going through a medical with Ireland going the other way...
And Kolarov rumoured to be out for 3 months... if its true... we are simply f*cked.

About Milner it says in my local paper tonight (we have lots of Villa gossip) that the deal might be called off soon unless it isn't wrapped up in the next day or two.

Indeed... all you have to do is look at Slur Alex.Milner is at Bridgwater hospital and Ireland is at Bodymoor heath for their medical... looks like the deal is gonna go through.
Even I can't deny that one.
Ireland is going to do well at Villa, as for Milner he will just have to get used to being rotated quite a bit at City...

I wouldnt say Ireland is going to do well... he may well be just as bad as he was for us last year. We currently play three defensive midfielders, I expect Milner will be starting each game.I hope Ireland does well though.
Young Boys 2 - 0 Spurs
What the hell is going on there?

3-0... what a farce.
3-2... they had some serious speed YB
Very lucky spurs...

SAF could easily be describing himself and his organisation's aggressive attitude towards spending. I don't see why he is so interested in this year's novelty team either.
Weird game last night. At least YB Berne have renamed their Wankdorf stadium, and that's good news for everybody.

A double wammy for us at the weekend. The curse of television and we play a team who have sacked their manager. Interesting game for WBA.

Absolutely Joe, a lot of fans are saying that our season starts tomorrow. We have signed a striker Peter Odemwingie from Locomotiv Moscow on a 2 year deal for an undisclosed fee and subject to visa clearance he will play tomorrow. First home game of the new season and already a must win game ~ the pleasure of being in the Premier League!William Gallas is set to sign for Tottenham from Arsenal. Interesting decision for him to make, 'Arry seems to think there will be no problem with the fans with the signing, but.... well we will see.
ION, Brett Pitman has failed to agree personal terms with Blackpool, seems a bit silly to me, the chance of Premier League football.. but he knows best and I'm sure that Bournemouth fans are happy to be keeping him.
Exeter announce there will be a minutes applause for Adam Stansfield at their match tomorrow. He sadly lost his battle against cancer at the age of 31 last week. Sir Jeff won't be able to say that Lisa will be proud when he scores any more, in fact he gave him a lovely tribute on Soccer Saturday last week.
SAF says there will be no more transfer activity at Man Utd this transfer window, hmmmmm
I will be watching the 'Boro match tomorrow
The 'Boro match is on Sunder PinkBabe. Totally screwed up our weekend.

That will teach me to check the TV guide won't it??!! I'm determined to go and see the Albion this season.
I liked Odemwingie PB when he played for Lille against Man United in the Champions League, lets hope he is impressive for the Baggies.
Egdar Davids has signed for Crystal Palace and William Gallas has signed for Tottenham.
Some interesting stuff in the Manchester Guardian today!
Matthew Upson showing his usual spectacular form for West Ham whenever we play them...
If only we could play West Ham every week.... 2-0.
Well happy for Bellers, scored a screamer today for Cardiff... free kick
Yesssss!!!!! 3 points and 11th in the table!! Well that won't last long, but I am going to enjoy it while it happens.

I was walking back from town when I heard the roar go up from his goal
Srt up two of the other goals as well. He is going to be a legend for City (Cardiff, not bluemanc)
There won't be many of us there today but I understand that we will be joined in the North Stand by a joint group of American and Russian astronauts. They need to replicate a place with no atmosphere. (The old ones are the best)
I'm not feeling very confident at al, our Scottish players seem too slow for the fourth most popular League in Europe.

Why oh Why did Millwall choose yesterday to lose to leeds having beaten them in the 4 previous games....
Nice to see the usual pi55 up from the refs
Stoke got the ball over the line but it wasnt given. FT was Stoke 1 - 2 Spurs

Woo Hoo, I knew Odemwingie would be a bargain.Glad Cardiff won and i've not always been keen on Craig Bellamy but he'll do well there.

Darlo, he could be the player we have been searching for, on what I saw on MOTD last night. I did tape our match off Football First last night (the joys of Sky+!), but am currently taping the Villa and 'Boro games for Mr Pink to watch later..honestly all that is on our Sky+ is football, oh! and the Emmerdale omnibus. So, so pleased with the team performance yesterday as after Chelsea we could have been really down so credit to Di Mat and his team for giving the players confidence.Reference:Croc

Sod's law innit?! You watch the exact same thing will happen to us against Wolves later on in the season, in the Championship we were beating them all the time, in the PL, well you just know what will happen...
G'waaaaaaaaaaaan Newcastle
That penalty from Carew was awful He looked well pissed off with himself after it.

Well done Newcastle and as a Midlander, bad luck Villa.
Fingers crossed PB that this is now a positive turning corner for the Albion.
Fair play to Newcastle but oh dear Villa, my Claret and Blue friends will be very disapoointed.
Come on Man United now LOL!.

I'm always optimistic as you know Darlo, glass half full and all that, but from what I heard yesterday and what I saw on MOTD, I really think he could make a huge difference in the team as he can play wide as well. I am cautiously optimistic.Oh dear, Joey Barton is being interviewed on ESPN, he should be arrested for crimes against moustaches!! Mr Pink said he reminds him of Litton from Life on Mars, I will have a look around and see if I can find a picture to compare (any excuse to look at pictures of Gene Hunt really!!)
I'm still a bit concerned on the defensive front but they have improved IMO.
Paul Scholes, what a player and what a goal!, he just gets better.
