Correct.

I hated him before and I still hate him now.

Forget Cesc, for me RVP and Nasri are the most important players Arsenal have now.

To be honest Darlo I agree with you re Nasri. Not so much RVP, but Sami Nasri definitely. The fact that the papers were saying at the weekend that he might be available for Β£12 million is shocking if it's true. In the current market he's worth double that, easily.

What? RVP has been their most attacking threat. He and Nasri have shown a lot of passion and when some of their team mates messed up were determined to try and put it right. Fabregas will eventually leave and tbh Arsenal might be better off selling him now like what United did with Ronaldo.

Thrilled for Ronaldo he broke the La Liga scoring record btw.

I've predicted City will sign Jan Vertoghen from Ajax.

That's because he's in the last year of his contract. If we can't tie him down then we'll have to get rid for whatever we can get or he will go on a free next summer.

I want us to keep Nasri obv but he has only had half a great season since he's been with us.

As for Cesc, on his day he is the best midfielder in the PL for creativity and skill but for so much of the season he has been carrying an injury or just looked like he didn't want to be here.

They've just put their season ticket prices up by over 40% - and we thought Arsenal were bad with their 6.5 hike!

Crikey!

FM

I've started to notice quite a few QPR shirts being worn by 'fans' whereas before they were rarer than hens' teeth outside of London.

I really don't care much for the Premier League (although all the accompanying intrigue and skullduggery can be entertaining.)  Saying that, I admit a bit more success would be nice (my team is usually to be found floundering around in the lower reaches of Division 2)

FM

The club has been smart about the way it approaches these new season ticket prices with this new system they brought in (Gold, Platinum & Superbia). Instead of knocking up prices on every season ticket holder which will cause outrage... they made it optional. They may aswell say "those with more money are the more loyal supporters". However, its been discovered that no one is coughing up Β£2500 for the highest membership, first they offered them to those who had 7000+ loyalty points and now because no one is interested they are offering them to people with 6000+.

Idiots, the club has been blinkered by pound signs and it will soon backfire... had we been another "Manchester United" it would of worked, but the problem is we don't have a huge fanbase where everyone is dying to get hold of a season ticket.

I believe they could replace RVP a lot easier than they could Nasri. That's all i meant by it.

Hahaha. They should have announced that they were getting Megson first then (after the predictable violent outcry) backtracked and said we're getting Wilson instead!

Hasn't he managed in the PL? Barnsley or somewhere like that?

I a;ways think of that song by Dexy's when I hear the name Danny Wilson. What's it called? Jackie Wilson says or summat.

Congrats to Lyon Ladies winning the Womens CL tonight at Craven Cottage. They knocked us out in the semis and looked good then.

What's everyones thoughts on the Mens CL final? I have no idea who will win - or who I want to lose most!! I hate ManU but then after that liitle stunt pulled by those two Barca clowns today at our training ground I want the earth to swallow them up!!

I saw the pic of it earlier You would expect that sort of thing to happen... but at Arsenals training ground? Some nerve. Had someone done that to us with Tevez bluemoon would go into meltdown.

MrMincePie

I'm back!!  It's a very long story involving selling 2 houses, being burgled and my lap top being stolen, but at last the insurance has come through and I have a new all singing, all dancing lap top!

I'm overjoyed with our performance this season.  Credit to the players, and especially to Peter Odemwingie who has been a revelation, 15 goals in one season.  But for me our managers this season must both be congratulated, Di Mat for the exciting start to the season and Roy Hodgson for steadying the team when we most needed it.  I really look forward now to next season and hope we can consolidate on the 11th place we got this season.

Really sorry about Blackpool who made such a fight of it and were a breath of fresh air in the PL, but in some respects they let themselves down by not defending at times and knowing really only one way to play.  I wish them well and hope they do make the PL again.

As for the other relegated teams, I did have a sneaky smile about the Blues going down and well, West Ham have looked like they were going to be relegated for most of the season, and as usual their directors are making complete fools of themselves (this is only my opnion I hasten to add), they were exactly the same when they were in charge at Birmingham City.

Hope everyone is well and has enjoyed their season as much as I have. xx

More FILF!!

I dunno who will win or who I want to tbh but I do have a sneaking suspicion that Man U could do them. Think that they would be better if Fletcher was fit though

According to my local paper (which I am not able to quote directly from as I am not paying to read it online when I have a copy at home!), Zoltan Gera may be returning to the Baggies as he is out of contract at Fulham.  Hope so, he was a favourite of mine when he was at the Baggies and I was quite sad when he went to Fulham.  ION, Birmingham have released 6 players including Kevin Phillips, which was a bit of a shock, I thought he would be a useful squad player for them next season even allowing for his age, proven goal scorer in the championship.  Possibly he will retire now or drop to Leagues 1 or 2.

β™₯PinkBabe1966β™₯The Angel under the tree!

I've just heard Nick Collins on Sky Sports News saying that Barcelona are going to start with Mascherano at centre back with Puyol operating at left back. Why would Pep do this when he has Eric Abidal, Adriano and Maxwell all fit? It would be suicide for them!

If this does turn out to be how Barca lineup tomorrow night, I'm immediately going online and putting another Β£100 on Manchester United.

Gareth McAuley signing for West Brom? The guy has been good for Ipswich and deserves a chance in the PL.

Would love Gera to come back, he was so popular with all the Baggies fans.

Nervous and hopeful of tomorrows game.. Barcelona are wonderful yes but they are beatable and United are a good side.. both sides have weaknesses, sure to be a interesting and close game.

McAuley has signed on a free transfer Darlo, it was announced either Monday or Tuesday in the Star.

Looking forward to tomorrows game, Barcalona are a lovely team to watch and Messi has to be the no 1 player in the world at the moment, but I still have a sneaky suspicion that on home turf so to speak, Man Utd will win the game.

Would also like to wish good luck to Abdoulaye Meite, Gianni Zulverloon and Giles Barnes and hope they all find clubs quickly.

Great to see you back PB. Really hope Hodgson tightens up that defence more for next season and adds more firepower, delighted the Albion finished 11th and have another crack at the top flight.. hopefully the club can build on it (come back Moonie).

Yeah good luck to them 3, was nice to see George Thorne's interview in the E&S about being given a chance to play.
