I was supposed to go to Villa Park today, but I've got a cold and stayed home. It was even worth missing seeing us beat Liverpool in the end, just to watch Sky and enjoy all those crying Bluenoses at White Hart Lane. Wonderful stuff

I hate that fair play crap - all it means is the team who usually wins it is too slow to make a tackle.

We'll end up losing our additional places because they are giving them to teams who can't even stay in the PL let alone compete in Europe.

What's wrong with giving it out on league places? Surely the league has to be the best guide of quality and consistency

To say I'm disappointed in how the players have performed in the last few weeks resulting in this 14th place finish is an understatement. That lost prize money would have been an extra player purchase this summer...

O Neill left you in the lurch, Houllier is a quality manager I feel but his health is far too precarious for  a day to day stressful job like footy management, his great strength is working with the up and coming kids and talent spotting. Your academy is just about the most consistent in the league, The babies who've had to step up for you this season will be a lot stronger for the experience. The most key signing for the Villa this window is a manager. Good luck for next season

you're only as good as your last season darlo.............and this season we were poor..it's no coincidence that after wilkins went we reverted to a much more defensive slow style of play....

I don't think so either, but Man United are crying out for a player who can unlock a defence. Wesley Sneijder would be ideal but can't see that happening either.

The management need to take responsibility but surely most blame goes to the players. Managers can't work miracles. I think they should have gave him the opportunity to make changes though Spongey.

Dunno there's been quotes that are supposedly by him saying that he wouldn't mind a move to OT. I would like Sanchez but City are gonna get him it looks like. Ashley Young is another possibility, competition from Liverpool for his services.

the drog taking corners is one.....replacing a striker with a striker when we're chasing a game.......instead of adding the extra striker...........there's loads of things........the dull slow build up we've been playing.....when at the start of the season we were flying forward and were a much better....and confident team for it

That middle of the season slump seemed to knock the stuffing out of the Chelsea players, have to give them credit for going on a winning run to come so close to the title but not enough in the end.

 

That Josh McEachran looks a talented young player, perhaps the start of some younger talent coming through the ranks Spongey? Shame for Bournemouth, not bad getting into the play offs but they can have another challenge for promotion next season.

josh is going to be a great player darlo......think ryan bertrand will also feature next season and van aanholt too......

 

nathaniel chalobah is another who could get a place on the bench now and again.....looks very promising...........hopefully borini will come back and stay after his loan.......and sturridge will feature more regularly too

 

i can see anelka going....the drog may possibly stay one more season..unless we get an offer that's too good for us.....or him to turn down

 

as for bournemouth..........they did fantasically well to even get to the play offs......and to take it to penalties was brilliant......another season of turmoil with eddie leaving and taking players...pitman and mcquoid leaving too.......depends who stays there as to how well they do next season.....wiggins wants to go...smith was on loan.....and ings has been getting attention

meant to say..........we had a 2 and a half-3 month slump......the fact we finished second after that shows it's been a weird season!!.no one has been outstanding......and utd won it with the lowest points total for 10 years..

Ryan Bertrand is another promising player, managed to catch a few televised Forest games and he had a good run in the team there.

Things can only get better.

Indeed the quality is there regarding goals and excitement but overall no-one has stood out. SSN showed the United points tally everytime we have won the league and no surprise this season is the lowest..

 

 

Stuart Holden won our player of the season award. Well deserved. He was missed big time in these last few weeks.
