Saw that earlier today... our website is brilliant, the videos they make and the live streams they do is really good. But they can be right c*cks sometimes with their articles. They're now even handing out free tickets to fans abroad who have only recently gained an interest in the club.

At least they didnt hand out FA Cup tickets... otherwise there would of been hell to pay.

Yeah Arsenal are the same Meaty. Too obsessed with 'fans' in the Far East/Africa/India/anywhere but London while ignoring the core support, some of whom have regularly gone to the Arse for 40+years.

Really makes me seethe. Last season Barclays flew some bloke from India over to see a game and even had the gall to parade him round the pitch at half time!!

Not impressed was the reaction. FFS there are kids in Islington who can see the stadium and can't afford to go to a game. They should come first.

And relax............

He celebrated a goal? Hell get me the handcuff.

Alex Ferguson acts like a total **** on the touchline but no one is saying that he deserves attacks on him. I don't support Celtic fwiw but I think anyone who supports or justifies this type of treatment of any individual needs to have a word with themselves.

At the Celtic and Rangers game last week Lennon had half the stadium chanting at him 'What's it like living in fear' Is that justified?

Paddy Mc Court an Irish catholic and also plays for N. Ireland was also sent bullets in the post, as was Niall Mc Ginn, also a Catholic playing for Celtic and NI.

All Sectarian attacks on Catholics playing/have played for Celtic and Northern Ireland.  Completely sectarian attacks. There would be a hell of a lot more said about it if it was Racist attacks. It's no wonder players from the North chose to play for the Republic when things like this are sung at them while representing their country.

You have absolutley no comeback for my argument, you obviously have some sort of grudge against Lennon maybe you are a Rangers fan I don't know. But you have come in here and again with nothing to back up you argument except smart ass quips.

It's a disgrace that a human being is treated as such and is living his life in fear with no one doing anything a bout it. A f**king banana skin was thrown on the pitch against Brazil and there was a massive investigation into it because it was deemed racist.  Assault and threat someone repeatedly because he is a bit mouth but more importantly is a Catholic. Well then thats ok. Disgrace.

Seriously, it is unacceptable; both what's happened tonight and what has happened to Lennon in the past. It's completely mental that prominent people who wear a Celtic shirt have also been threatened. There's no place in the world for that crap let alone in football.

But............. Neil Lennon IS a windup merchant. He attracts some of the vitreol (sp) he does because he acts like a knob at times.

Still no excuse though

I'm a Celtic supporter, but I need to say it's difficult to claim any moral high ground when it comes to sectarian songs and chants. Some of the bile and vitriol at Parkhead is astounding , and go into any of the wee pubs around the Barras after a match and it's wall to wall barstool republicans

( that have never so much set foot in Ireland but have a great great granny from Buncrana or some such ) singing about shooting soldiers dead etc. Feck all to do with footie, The venom exists both sides of the sectarian divide.

I have no idea how the police let that nutcase anywhere near Lennon, especially given all that's happened of late.

No ones saying it's an English thread Velvet any more than it's a PL thread. It's about whatever teams and issues footy fans want to discuss.

I think Joe was saying that there are huge issues in footy at the mo that affect all clubs including the Scottish League and that the media should concentrate on them rather than stoking the fires by OTT coverage of what is, admittedly, a serious matter.

Apologies Joe if I've got that wrong

I hear ya Joe, believe me. Now Blatter is apparently giving it the 'just let me stand unopposed this time and then I'll stand down at the end of my tenure' crap.

And we all know that a statement like that is the last desperate throw of the dice for any despot who can feel the winds of change. Tosser that he is.

Meaty, it is bliddy expensive in Wembley but, if you're not choosy, there are loads of cheap places to eat along the High Road and if you like Indian food (and have plenty of time) then head along the High Road and turn left into the Ealing Road where there are loads and loads of cheap Indian eateries.

Batter those legbreaking Stoke barstewards please****

****This refers to matters on the pitch and in no way is encouragement for anyone to attack Stoke fans
