Saying that, he did all right in the 2nd half.

I thought the post match goading interview of Ancelotti from SKY was in poor taste though!

Doubt that the FA will take too close of a  look at it though

After watching the programme on bbc2, was slightly suprised how little the managers know... seems they are all kept in the dark about everything. Redknapp said he doesn't have a clue what each player earns and that they don't tell him that.

Most of those they interviewed said that the agents are behind everything pulling the strings. 14 year olds even seem to have agents.

Incredible stuff from Liverpool tonight. It's much harder to hate them with Dalglish in charge (brilliant footballer, really nice bloke, takes nothing for granted, unassuming, Rednose take note). I wonder what made Rodriguez suddenly spring into action in the last few weeks? Maybe he felt overshadowed by Suarez who I still think is wildly over-rated. He works hard but he's a diving little twat.

Anyway, great performance from Liverpool, it was a great game to watch.

So refreshing to see Liverpool performing like a team again. Suarez has 4 goals and 5 assists in 11 games, not really over rated?

I think now we don't have a target man like we had with Torres it has varied play a bit. Majority of play seems to go through Lucas as well. Playing this well without Agger, Carroll, Kelly and Gerrard is incredible. I really want some form of European qualification however if we fail for a last ditch bid at CL I would love EL, nothing compensates for game time when rebuilding a squad.

You might find some of your more established players i.e. Gerrard upset the apple cart when they come back. Very fast attacking football doesn't suit everyone. Same for us with Lampard and Essien I f*cking hate how they slow our play down. I was happy to injure them both again myself just so it doesn't take us an hour to get from defence to attack.

I'm pretty sure Dalglish has all this worked out though.

I think thought that when the squad is deepened there will be fewer player playing every game. Gerrard may get a rest every 2nd or 3rd game, same as Carra, Kuyt and Maxi. Obviously Agger who will be out a month at a time because he is made of glass.lol I think Pepe, Lucas and Suarez may be the only ones to feature in most games, I would like to see Gerrard come into the Giggs role  a bit. Lamps is still a great player, but at the wrong side of 30 you can't expect him to do it every week. a rest every couple of games would do him the world of good, same as Drogba (one of my fave non Liverpool players would you believe).

In reality the best thing to happened us this season was getting rid of Hicks and Gillette, then rep;lacing Roy with Kenny and Steve Clarke. Which in turn had reaped enormous rewards.

People say Kenny had no pressure, thats a load of pull he had to dig Liverpool out of a complete hole, and beat Chelsea, City, United and drew with Arsenal in the process.

You really have to hand it to Dalglish. I think scousers are being a bit guilty of premature blowing of their loads at the moment by saying they are going to be champions next season. But then again when you consider how garbage the top of the Premier League has been this season, now's as good a time as ever to mount a serious challenge for the season ahead.

I have, but seriously if they keep playing like this, add 3 or 4 players over the summer, then they could mount a serious challenge next season. Arsenal, Chelsea & Man City aren't exactly brilliant teams at the moment. Man Utd as well are a shadow of the 2009 title winning team, so yeah why not?

Well done City. The thought of Champions League was fun while it lasted.Anyway, still happy enough with the prospect of Europa, it is a good chance to blood younger players and entering as 5th placed team (hopefully) means we avoid all the qualifying games, the latter stages of the competition still has some decent teams as well. Can't afford to be snobby in football when you have't won a trophy for 5 years. Spurs could maybe learn a thing or 2.

What about cheating diving Real Madrid players?

Them too, though they're not really in the same league as Barca. They need to go on a face-clutching course and take a few lessons in amateur dramatics to reach such dizzy heights

They were quite bad in the first leg. Because of what happened with Dani Alves and Pepe, everyone is forgetting that Angel Di Maria did exactly the same thing (if not worse) in the first half to get Dani Alves booked.

Does anyone else agree that this thread should be one of the 'featured' threads at the top?

It's frequently used, it's on a subject that lots of people like, it's ongoing even more so than the various TV show threads, it's also something that is regularly on TV.... What more does a thread need to be to become eligible for featuring at the top of this forum?
