I've watched a lot of the Championship this year as it's been miles better than the Premier League and I'd say on what I've seen Swansea deserve the 2nd auto place because on their day they are as good as anything in that division and play brilliant football. I'd also like to see Norwich promoted because they've had a fantastic first season back and back to back promotions would be an unbelievably achievement considering the state they were in when Lamber took over after that 7-0 home defeat to Colchester at the beginning of last season.

 

So for me I hope it goes 1st QPR, 2nd Swansea, Playoffs Norwich

Indeed! Swansea were the most entertaining team I have seen this season! QPR were the most workmanlike and normally I would wish them the best, but I have zero tolerance for Warnock. I enjoyed watching Freiburg v Hannover tonight.

Norwich 1-7 Colchester, Crunchy!  I was at that match and could scarcely believe the shite I was watching.  To say it was diabolical would be a gross understatement. 

 

I recall coming on this site, half cut, going on about how Bryan Gunn (then manager), the players and Delia should just piss off and how the little kid City fans in their cute replica shirts were in for years of what amounted to emotional misery.

 

Wes Hoolahan (who had an abysmal game) allegedly drove past city fans and gave them the one fingered salute.  So many players just didn't give a shit that day.  Lambert has turned it around in a way that no City fan would have believed after that 7-1 humiliation.  Hoolahan has since proved to be indispensable.  It's really hard to believe that a manager can have such an effect on a club.

This seems to be the main story on R 5!! I just wish that Roy Keane had still been involved.

Well that was a superb slightly belated Birthday present from my nearest and dearest. An easy journey, superb weather, a lovely venue. When we went down 1-0 in the second minute I imagine we all thought, "here we go again!" to be up 4-1 at half time was surreal. We took over two thousand to Hull and it was a marvellous day out. Lovely take out in Goole afterwards.

We may be a poor championship team but at least we've avoided KD this season. When you go up against Lancashire teams you just hope you end up with eleven players who can still walk.

I still can't believe the recent run of results. Arsenal have imploded yet again, Man U have dropped the ball a few times, we had no right at all to have any title hopes at this stage but there we are with a bit of a sniff at it. 

 

I was on a Chelsea forum earlier. They're all delighted that Arsenal lost. I'm tired of being banned from there so didn't point out that means Arsenal now have f*ck all to play for and now won't be up for it against Man U and we need them to beat Man U for us to have any chance. So rather than say 'you're all thick c***s' I just logged out.

 

Amazing end to the season though. Whoever wins it will do so with the lowest points total of any PL winners or at least close to it.

I don't think theres been any side this season that deserves the title... Chelsea, City, Spurs and Arsenal have all been poor at times.

 

I think had Liverpool had Dalglish from the start of the season they would of gone on to win it.

Mincey, Liverpool have been dire even under Queen Kenny I doubt having him from the start would have made much difference though he has improved them a bit.

 

Man U have been awful on a regular basis and still won. Some people see that as the sign of true champions. I see it as the sign of a team being awful on a regular basis and still winning.

 

Still, if you finish with more points than anyone else yes you fully deserve the title no matter how poor the opposition. You can only beat what's put in front of you and all that.

I also think that the new relaxed Kenny would have at least got Liverpool in the so called Champions League. How long will he last in this great mood though? A long time I hope !

I see it more as a sign of how wank the top end of the Premier League has been this season. I think Man United have been simply the best of a bad bunch this season. 

I was at Rochdale v Carlisle yesterday. What a shithole Rochdale is I have to say. Very good game though with a couple of very good goals from us. Finished 3-2 to us but we should have buried them by more than that. Leyton Orient at home tomorrow.

Rochdale is dreadful, but it has a beer advantage over Carlisle. You remind me of our trip to Hull yesterday

......... The massed ranks of smoggie gadjies were singing the "I want to go home, Hull is a shithole, I want to go home!" song. A tremendous gamble on the basis that their fans had never visited Teesside.

Think we took about 1500 to Rochdale yesterday which was decent, shit all to do before the match though - there's just nothing what so ever around the stadium.
