Bellamy has been banned from the club and sent on loan to Cardiff apparently...

Also, rumours are that we have agreed some deal with Arsenal regarding Shay Given... if we have sold him il be pretty damn shocked, it must be either a player swap deal or loan...

Best we can get out of it is a loan deal instead.

Not being in the 25 isn't the same as being banned.
Thats what the paper says... and it wouldnt surprise me if it was true, great player but by the sound of it he causes alot of trouble within the team.
MrMincePie
He used to be a right little so-and-so, but has seemingly calmed down a lot over the past year or so. I know City fans rate him and don't want him to go. No-one in that team works harder, that's for sure.

Carlos Tevez? He was fine under Hughes, stick him under any other manager though and then he starts causing trouble again.
He works a lot harder than Tevez. And what trouble has he caused lately? Mancini's a chump.

He certainly does not work harder then Carlos Tevez, at times last season Bellamy had his poor moments... Tevez was consistant.

I don't think Bellamy high-fiveing Harry Redknapp when we lost 1-0 is gonna help his cause either. We could benefit now that hes gone. As soon as Mancini walked through the door he had a problem, hes been disruptive and we could benefit from him leaving.
MrMincePie
It was Hughes who got rid of Dunne... not Mancini. And I agree with you, it was a cock-up bringing in Lescott. And it was also Hughes who was tapping up regarding Lescott.

I have not seen any tapping up since Mancini has come in. We stick a bid in and thats it.
MrMincePie
James ~cough~ Milner?
We said he wasn't for sale when City first declared an interest. Mancini has kept on and on ever since, even to the extent of saying he hoped 'his' player would be available for City last Saturday.
Demantoid
I see Redknapp is out again talking about other teams but not interested in his own... he sounds quite bitter about the Bellamy deal. I don't know what he expects, £2mil for Bellamy? He can f*cking get stuffed... we aint a charity.

I wouldnt mind sending him Lescott for free though.

We stuck a bid in and left Villa to it... if there was such a problem with the way we went about it then Villa would of got the FA/FIFA involved. By the sound of it they have no problem selling him and it looks like he wouldnt mind joining.
MrMincePie
surely you cant blame me for being slightly pleased meaty

imagine if the shoes were on the other feet - we dont have the money to lash around on players like you have and just wanted to keep hold of who we thought were our best players

i am amazed that he hasnt cut it at city though

That's not what you did. You stuck a bid in and we said no thanks, he's NOT for sale.
So you stuck another one in, and another one. And kept talking about him in the press as if he was already your player. And spoke to his agent behind the scenes, to the point where he is now unsettled and wants to go.
We had no reason to want to sell him and certainly never offered him to you or anyone else - why would we?
Randy Lerner has had plenty to say about your antics and I'd believe him over Bobby Manc any day.
If you're serious, it's cash plus Stephen Ireland. Take it or leave it.

He's too robotic to be honest... he looks a right fat tw*t at times When he first joined, he made some big errors and he started getting better and better. Then he had some problem with his knee so he was out for the rest of the season. Its the same for Santa Cruz, both of them are a liability and I can us off loading these players for any price. Im hoping Hughes come in for them Apparently he is prepared to pay £12mil for Crocky.

You really think Villa have a problem with selling him, we made an offer and the deal could have been done in the quiet and without the media knowing, but Villa decided to take it public...

Same old stuff...the only reason Villa have gone public is because they want to get the best price for Milner.

City try and sign a player, the player wants to go,the selling club make some outrageous tap up observation, the media go into self-righteous overdrive, the price goes higher, the player joins City, the press go into self-righteous overdrive.......ad infinitum.

We never talk about other players, its always been do not say anything publicly apart from "we do not conduct transfer business in the press". If Mancini has even mensioned Milner, then I expect he would of been told by Khaldoon not to do it again.
MrMincePie
I repeat - we did not want to sell him until City tapped him up. Why would we?
As for you 'never' talking about other clubs' players, that wasn't Mancini who said during the week he wanted Milner fit for Saturday - when the player hadn't even signed for you yet? Load of arrogant cobblers.
You will get Milner, but don't kid yourselves it's because we wanted to sell him.
Demantoid
Villa look rather desperate to me...Manager walking out because the board want to sell some of his players without his consent?

All villa had to do was keep the deal quiet, but instead decided to take it to the papers and now they want to get the best price out of it along with our players. Had they not made it public Mancini would never of even mensioned Milners name.

Mancini made his desire to sign Milner public before we ever said a word.
We're resigned to losing him now, but you'll have to pay what we want or no deal.
Can't have it both ways. If City and their fans are going to keep bragging about how much money they've got, then obviously they'll have to use it. Cash plus Ireland or toddle off.

I do love this, though. Not only should we sell you our best player against the fans and manager's wishes, but also keep quiet so City's shenangians don't get dragged through the mud and make it as easy for you as possible? Anything else, while were' at it? Would you like him washed, shaved, tied up in a red ribbon and chauffeured round to Eastlands in Randy's car as well?

Mancini never said a word of the deal, Villa came out accusing City of tapping up, I don't think the club will have a problem handing over Ireland... the guy isnt good enough to make the 25. If Villa can get the best out of him like the form he had in the 08-09 season then you got a bargain.

You sound upset about Milner leaving

The player will decide if he wants to stay or go... its his choice.

Of course, he's a great player. Let's hope the money makes up for being a bit-part player at City. Ireland is a great player, but Mancini hasn't given him a chance. Younger than Milner, too.

It's quite amusing seeing so-called big clubs getting in a frettie about this subject.
Those of us who go to watch less influential clubs have had to put up with this for years. My own personal favourite was when a representative of another twatty Lancastrian club approached one of our purchases at our local airport. Yes! You guessed right! It was the pantomime  dame himself, Forlan.

He's been given plenty of chances... he had last season and he played in every pre-season to prove hes worth hanging onto. Unfortunatly, it doesnt look as though he would fit in Mancinis plans. He was a great creative midfielder in 08-09... but now he just looks lost and loses the ball.

The rags did the same to us with Berbatov...

Tell the sheikh to send his round. Can't promise it won't come back painted claret and blue though

On another subject, this goes out to the 20-odd West Ham fans who thought it would be fun to start trouble in the Barton's Arms before kick-off:

thre nil, three nil, three nil, three nil..

Still! Early days yet! I would like to think the Premiership was open to a few more teams this season but Chelsea have hit the ground running. If Andy Carroll treats the United defence with the same disdain as he treats everything else we may get a surprise tonight.
Otherwise it's hard to know which was most offensive on the first day, Chelsea and their entry for the twattiest hairstyle competition, or the Everton shirts.
