Several years ago we went to see a band in Liddypool at the Hanover. We also attended a very moving service at what the locals call Paddy's Wigwam. I think it very important that all football fans stick together and I was one of the fanzine people who begged people to boycott News International rags. None of you will ever understand how offended I become when FMs quote any of their shitty newspapers.

The OP on this thread is so moving and thought provoking.

I remember interviewing a guy in a wheelchair who hadn't walked since that fateful day of April 15th 1989. He was completely able bodied and had full use of his legs, but on that particular day he had stood on children's head's and so now flatly refused to ever stand upon his own two feet again.

I interviewed a man who had barely said a single word in the seven years between the disaster and the film. That man told me something that he had NEVER told anyone else, not even his own parents and that something was his brothers final words to him that day: 'Please don't let me die'.

I spoke to a guy who awoke under a pile of bodies, presumed dead and flung aside. He'd had his pulse taken by a policeman wearing leather gloves.

See Braga got through to the Semis of the Europa Cup, fair play to them.

I think Barca have a harder semi final than final, If they beat Real I think they will win the C/L. Although a better team than their rival, the pressure could be a great leveler, In saying that, if we get of repeat of the November league clash, Barca well walk it. I can only see Man U having a chance of winning it if they play Real in the final.

Near where I was sitting a couple of weeks ago. You're block 124, I was in block 122 which was bang on the halfway line. Great seats you've got there. If I were you I'd give the behind the net tickets away and keep those.

Yeah will do Turns out because two of the spare seats are complimentary, I can't see them... so gonna give them away to a lucky blue for free. The other two I can sell at face value though, so will do that.

Setting off early tomorrow at 8

Im pretty certain United will go through, we not been on the big stage many times before. They been there and done it plenty of times. I don't think this is our year, but possibly next.

Spurs went into the 1991 semi against Arsenal, them on course to do the double, us not a chance in hell, Anything can happen Meaty, Arsenal that day didn't get going until the second half, they froze,I think the gap between the two sides in those days was probably wider than the Manchester clubs today, One thing I remeber from that day was how positive the Spurs fans and team were, the form book went out the window, It could happen again tomorrow.  Semi finals can be a great leveler.

city deserved it........scholes challenge was a shocker and deserved a red card.the bloke can't tackle to save his life and his career has been littered with challenges like that

god knows what ferdinand was stropping about at the end.......saw balotelli winking at him and he charged after him shouting and stamping his feet..mouthed off at david platt..then stomped off down the tunnel without even bothering to applaud the utd fans..most of whom had scarpered by then......sore loser springs to mind

SS

Well done City, bad luck muf and darlo. spongey I don't know how anyone could describe Scholes 'challenge' as a tackle. It had nothing to do with football he knew exactly what he was doing and he's been getting away with it for years. Did you see the way he looked at the ref when he got red carded? That bloke's a very nasty piece of work. Great footballer but a waste of oxygen otherwise.

Prometheus

Didnt see the Scholes tackle, well they didnt show it on the big screen... watching it over on sky+ now so will see it up closer later. Not sure what Ferdinand was flapping about.

The ground was rocking before kick off and when Toure scores, poznan in full flow

One thing that annoyed me was the police and their organisation, utter stupidity at the end of the game... both sets of fans sharing the same car park with all the buses on there? Making my way back to the car, saw many incidents on the way. Spotted one blue lying on the ground with a neck brace on.

MrMincePie

quote from the sunday mirror on the balotelli/ferdinand bust up........

Mario Balotelli sparked an ugly bust-up as Manchester City stormed into the FA Cup Final at Wembley.

The controversial Italian striker celebrated City’s moment of glory by walking towards the United fans, brandishing his sky blue shirt and club badge.

That act of incitement sparked a response from United stars. Anderson, their Brazillian midfielder, angrily puched Balotelli away and was joined by Rio Ferdinand who took exception to Balotelli’s celebrations.

SS

This is worse spongey...

http://www.express.co.uk/footb...his-big-final-chance

"Manchester City should make that clear today, telling the world that the hot-headed young Italian striker has forfeited that privilege and honour of English football with his disgraceful goading of Manchester United fans at the end of yesterday’s epic encounter.

If they don’t, the Football Association should do it for them"

And I thought we were the "bitters"
