What is the connection between Michael Jackson and Fulham? Did he play matches in disguise? Did he sell veg down the market on a Thursday?

That statue's about as random as a fish on a running track. It makes no sense whatsoever.

rooney is a complete twonk...............he mouthed off at england fans to the camera at the w/c..........he got himself booked for a needless challenge in the friendly against ghana last week.......which means he misses the next qualifier.........now this....

he needs to grow up and stop acting like a chav

he's always 'sorry' for what he does..then carries on doing it.......so through his own stupidity england can't pick him for the qualifier....and he may well miss the fa cup semi final too............all because he can't keep his temper in check

the 'he's only young and still learning' line churned out by various pundits is a joke....the bloke is 24/25?.he's married with a kid..he's been playing at the top level since he was 17........he should of learnt by now

Al Fyedd was a mate of MJ. I'm glad I'm not a Fulham supporter is all I can say.  The embarrassing vanity of a statue of a suspect paedo in front of your club!

I don't think football is an exact science. One won't find a genius footballer who ticks all the right so called role model boxes (WTF that means I've no idea!) they've all got issues at some level. I just rejoice in the fact that the spud faced nipper might have regained some form. Meanwhile Mr Pie has an excellent point. At my Lerkal ground we should get a Paul Rogers statue. He's a far superior singer by far. Alas! Our team is less than superior.

That'll teach 'em

Though if Sky hadn't shoved a camera in his face.......

He went looking for the camera and thats Skys job anyway.. Sky pay the clubs who then pay the players, perhaps he should remember that. The tw*t deserves everything he gets, its nearly every game he has to be issued a warning.

Meat said that he went looking for the camera!

Only a fully paid up member of the ABMU could get to that from the evidence [which is where the FA are I assume]

A lot of people won't be happy until Utd are kicked out of the PL and OT is burnt to the ground.

No, I wouldn't go that far..........everyone just wants consistency across the board....what goes for one should go for the other

Lets wait and see who/when the next player is given a two match ban for swearing on a football pitch.

That isn't the point but that aside, Sky apologised straight away, and Rooney did as soon as he could.. The FA have totally over-reacted as ever and handed an advantage to Arsenal in the run-in.

So to tally up:

  • Rooney - punished by FA
  • Manchester Utd - punished by FA
  • Man Utd Fans - punished by FA
  • Sky - FA
  • Arsenal -
  • Number of 7-14 year olds taught to swear by this incident - 0

Sorry, maybe I haven't grasped the point here Muffy, but how are the fans being punished

Hmm, debatable......for now

I'm with muffy on this one. I don't think he should be banned at all. Drogba was banned for six games for calling the ref a f*cking disgrace and my thoughts at the time were that all football supporters should rejoice at his honest opinion in his interview, an opinion that was 100 per cent correct.

Football is not watched by old ladies in between bingo evenings.

I'm surprised at the vehemence shown towards the spud faced nipper on this thread. It's like Russell Brand again. Someone does something on a minority channel and it's all blown out of proportion. Let's face it! All footie fans were on their way to a game and missed it. We didn't know about it until the scratter press gave it a send-off. Shame on Rednapp for sounding off about it when surely his main task was to best the cheats.
