Hi Cologne At least they've showed some promise tonight All is still not right IMO, but hey......early days. I still think there's something to come out in the wash though
I agree onetoo, there something wrong, but I think unless they stop the faux loyalty, they will never get over it. People have to be honest, even if it doesn't go down well with the punters. In the end it's better, surely.

I see Mario Balotelli is on his way and Robinho is in the 25... Mancini has said that Bellamy does not have a place.

I honestly don't understand why the hell he wasnt chosen He was our best player just behind Tevez last season... loads of experience in the premier league and we throw him out and allow a 20 year old who has never played in the english game in his life and a player who rather take his pay cheque and f*ck half way across the world then stay here.

Unbelievable.

Predictions for the new season anyone? Might be worth a laugh in May when we see how badly wrong we all are...

Top 4:

Chelsea
Man Utd
Arsenal
Man City

Relegated:

I can't look beyond the three that came up, but I think Wigan will run one of them very close (most likely Newcastle). Sunderland might be down there after losing some important players and replacing them with inferior ones.

FA Cup - Man Utd
League Cup - Arsenal

CL - Barcelona
EL - Liverpool

As for my own club, I'm saying a solid yet unspectacular 11th place.

My predictions for the coming season:~  This will be fun to read next May when I am depressed!!

Top 4

1.  Man Utd
2.  Chelsea or possibly Arsenal
3.  Arsenal or possibly Chelsea
4.  Man City with Spurs pushing them for most of the season.

Team that surprises everyone ~ Have a feeling it will be Newcastle, I honestly think they will do ok in the PL and forecast a good finish for them.

Relegated

Blackpool (sorry would love to see them stay up ~ but in all honesty I think they are even less prepared than we were the first season we went up.)
Wigan
Birmingham City (please)
Wolves (even bigger please) ~ either of these or preferably both would really make my season!!

CL Man Utd
EL Liverpool

FA Cup West Brom (why not!!)
League Cup Arsenal or Villa

My Team ~ Head tells me we will struggle, especially with opening few fixtures, and are favourites to go back down, but we have some very good players, a good style of football and a manager with good defensive nous, so this could be the season we consolidate and stay in the PL.  Realistically can't expect much more than 15th place though.  Heart is already saying top 10 ~ well I can dream can't I??!!

Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba are doubts for tomorrow's match. (I do honestly like both players, but I have to admit to dancing around the living room when I heard it on SSN)

Our League cup match against Leyton Orient has been scheduled for Tuesday 24th August and we may well go to this one on the coach

Good luck to all my fellow footy fans tomorrow whoever you support ~ even the Chelsea fans!!!

Hmmmm, i don't know. I'm frightened
Why?  I honestly think you will be ok this season, you have a good manager who I hope the board and the fans stand by.  You've got some good players in the squad and have brought sensibly in the summer, I honestly think Newcastle will surprise a lot of people

Well il be setting off on the train tomorrow morning at 7.55 am

Because I think we were too good for the CL (and that said the CL is a darn good league) and not good enough for the PL

The same problem we have, I get you now.  I think we tend to be the same, but I think Mr Pink has it right when he says there is at least two leagues in the PL, top 4 and the bottom half, possibly also the middle part where the Europe places get sorted out.

What we both have to try and do if at all possible is get points from the teams who are going to be in the lower parts of the league with us, I know that that can be easier said than done,  I just have a sneaky feeling that our teams are both going to be ok this season.  Fingers crossed anyway.

Got back from London earlier, great result for us... bit negative tactics. You could see we were going to settle for a draw playing three defensive midfielders. Micah Richards was a liability, lucky enough Kolo Toure was wide awake to cover.

Joe Hart - England and Manchester Citys Number 1

On another note... had MOTD on in background earlier on and did I hear right?

On the tannoy announcement for Bolton v Fulham

Is that tapping up though - or just admiring players from an opposition team?
Its tapping up to me...getting a message across to a player when the club has not given him permission to speak with him.

Its stupid, its like Bellamy... if we said hes not for sale and we won't allow him to have talks with Spurs then that should be it. But Redknapp is going about by speaking with the media. Its piss poor that nothing has been done... he should stick a bid in and thats the end of it.
MrMincePie
Reina and Almunia Oh dear...

Reina is one of the best keepers in the league aswell, look like he went into panic mode and couldnt take it.

The only team in the league that has a chance of getting Shay Given is probably Fulham, we won't sell a player to someone we are trying to compete with... sky team are talking sense for once, no chance of selling him to Arsenal. Stick Fabregas in as part of the deal and I recon they may have a chance

We got Joe Hart so im not that concerned... Given is 34 now so I don't think he will be around that much longer. As long as we let him go to the right club we won't have a problem.... I think Celtic is the best place for him to go.
Bloody hell! Didin't know that, thought he was late 20's. Got a great keep in JH  Celtic works for me too
