look at hull....early doors they were flying....few bad results and look at them now....scrapping for survival....yet they were top 6.....and then top half for a good part of the season......then bam......freefall....

Well pardon me there is Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal fans in other parts of the UK that are not from the place where they are based , people always quick to criticise Man Utd fans for it, where as nothing much is said about Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea fans which Cheeky Pixie pointed out on a thread here before. I'm not the only one who supports Man Utd in my family .

People have the right to support whoever they want. I know like loads of people my age in my area who don't even support Walsall, Villa, WBA or Brum whoever most support the top 4 teams.

Yeah they do Darlo, I totally believe in freedom of choice but you have to also accept that people who have supported their local club for years, through thick and thin, are entitled to throw the glory supporter accusation around if they think it fits.

I'm not getting at you or other Man U fans from outide Manchester, like I say I have one in the family and I do think that all the big clubs are doing whatever they can to market the 'brand' all over the world to maximise income.

And as to what onetoo says about what would happen if United weren't doing so well - my younger son and I say that all the time to my eldest.
I'd be interested to see how many Man U fans are left if they went for five seasons with no trophy like Arsenal have done.

Well if I am being totally honest my older brothers supported Man Utd and I followed . Plus they were the first team I watched when I first got into Footie because they liked United .

i do think the tv has alot to do with it.....loads of kids now aren't interested in their local club.....not when they can see the likes of ronaldo,torres,lampard,fabregas etc week in week out on the tellybox....

i'm a chelsea fan.....i don't live in london....i live in bournemouth......but......i've paid my money week in week out to watch absolute dross....getting caned week in week out...we weren't a top 4 team.....we never won anything of note since i've supported them....(from 1974)....til the 1997 cup final......

the vet is quite pleased with him though.....go back on thursday for another check up.....
