What's all this about King. Confused
This is not what we expect from our boys... Frowner

ValentineAfternoon RZB.

When are footie players going to realise they have to be alert to any chancer wanting to make a few quid from the red tabs.Any sniff of a news story and a disgruntled doorman's gonna be right in there Frowner

I don't know if I can bear the thought of us staying up by the skin of our teeth and having another season of few games and overpaid non tryers. Better to go down and get the deadwood out, IMHYCO including the manager. Could do with someone like Ayeup, nowthen, nowthen, some day I think I'll go back to dear old Ireland, Mick McCarthy.
One player who would do well elsewhere is Tuncay Sanli.
You've got a lot of academy lads haven't you though? I'd imagine it will be a lot easier to build on that framework. I agree about Tuncay. Weren't Chelsea supposed to be sniffing around?

He may not have done anything wrong yet,
but I so admired King when he refused to sell
pictures of his baby, and slapped a writ on a
paper that got hold of one, now this.
Lets hope he's in the clear.

I saw a clip on Sky yesterday of the 'incident' which looked like sommat and nowt.It was a pretty minor misdemeanor from what I saw(which in all fairness might not have been all the 'evidence')but the doorman made it sound like a completely different incident.
Thats what I mean about players having to be on their guard. The slightest thing can be blown out of all proportion by a chancer.

It can go one of 2 ways on relgation, last time
they came straight back Joe, but on the other side of the coin, look at Norwich, Charlton & Southampton. At times the Championship looks a poor league, but I wouldn't want to fall into it.

Yet for some reason Reading dont seem to want to leave it!

Why do they need to go to clubs in Soho,
I know it's a free country, but it's also a
short career, King is lucky he's has not been shorter than some, Live the life of a monk while your a profession footballer I say.

They have had a real odd season,
really unlucky to go down in the first place,
I thought Coppell would have got them back straight away, he still might, but they are making hard work of it.

The fizz has gone.
2 years ago there was a real air of excitement around the town about promotion. It filtered out to the surrounding areas(hardly blessed with premiership clubs!) and practically everyone with a pulse was behind them. This year nobody seems bothered.Theres just an air of apathy about the whole thing.People are more excited about London Irish reaching the final of the Zurich league!

They could still make the playoff finals,
but it's going to be hard work, everything seems to be going against them,
I thought they would beat Birmingham last week, which would have seen them up,
If they don't go up, I think Coppell will go,
Didn't he hint last season, he would go after one more year.

I'd have to agree. If you're being paid a rather obscene amount of money, you should act professionally.Unfortunately incidents involving football dont seem to get punished in the way a professional rugby player would be.Gavin Henson was banned for a fair part of his season for making defamatory remarks about a fellow player.Quite rightly the governig body regarded that as unprofessional conduct and disciplined him swiftly. However,if incidents like Drogbas appalling behaviour go unheeded, what kind of message does it send out to kids??Thats its acceptable to flout authority and behave like a spoilt brat and STILL get paid phenomenal sums?
How are coaches at primary level supposed to teach kids to adhere to certain standards of behaviour when the 'professionals' can't even be civil?

I think hes only ever had an annual contract(his choice...he felt he could become complacent if had accepted an offer Madjeski made when they were promoted)
