Another Manchester United player has just gone out of the World Cup with injury - Nani for Portugal has picked up a shoulder injury

Yep it's deffo broken, I'll post in the feedback thread again. What I tend to do now is just make a post with a full stop in here just so it takes me to this page and then delete it when I've read the latest posts

It does seem to be the threads with loads of pages Croc, I've posted in the feedback thread so we'll have to see if the techies can sort it out.
Meaty I think you're right, let's see if Lori and co can sort this one out and if not we'll just do a new one.

Ah it's taken me to this page now. It seems we have to reach a certain number of posts on the new page before we stop getting directed to the previous page lol

And to confuse matters more, when I looked at this thread around 5 yesterday afternoon (so before disley's 17.32 post, it stopped at Veggie's 14.08 post so my Nani injury post had vanished. I had wondered if had been removed for some obscure reason, but it obviously ties in with the above problems.
Linked with a ÂĢ5m move for Chris Cohen of Forest today, he looked good in the playoff games, but it's a bit much for a guy with no Premiership experience...

Bumping the footie fred as it was so many pages back it had almost dropped off the coupon

Biggest football day of the year and it's down on page 3... that's not right.
I thought the opening ceremony was pretty rubbish, but then I suspect such things will be a letdown for years to come after Beijing in 2008 (biggest letdown will be the 'gosh aren't we diverse and down wiv da kidz opening ceremony in London in two years time).
The game tomorrow is vitally important to me, as my girlfriend is American. I'd be hearing about it for years if they somehow won...

just got home from work and missed the opening ceremony but watching now and can't wait for the whole thing to kick off
The noise going round the stadium, , great atmospher though, I didn't mind the opening, went on a bit, as these thing usually do.
The buzzing is annoying though...i hope we don't have it in all the games...i keep thinking I have Tinnitus

It's like a swarm of bee are getting closer, I would imagine it's only the hosts games we get it, different I suppose, not quite the ticker tape of Argentina 78.
It sounds like locusts on their way...I expect the 2nd half to commence with just skeletons sitting in the stands
NICE CELEBRATION!!
1-0 South Africa
They won't be so cock-sure of themselves when La France sh*t all over them
Mexico...talk about a dodgy keeper!!!
Bit of a footy lover, but can't seem to get enthused about this world cup. This is a feeling many of my colleagues and friends share. It's really strange as for most tournaments we are really up for it.
Having said that I watched the second half of RSAvMex. Two average sides which could get a pasting from a decent side. Good goal by RSA, but shocking defending for the equaliser.
Dreadful celebration, looked like a bunch of Britain's not got talent rejects.
Just settling down for URGvFRA.

Really enjoyed the opening match - apart from those sodding horns.
The ref seemed a bit card happy and this ref in the France game has already started bookings

Interested as well to get a good look at Gourcoff (sp) as we might buy him if Cesc does go to Barca.

Really looking forward to the England game tonight

Cant wait
I think we are going to get the buzzing noise at all the games unfortunately.
Watching the ITV coverage so far I am wondering if they could possibly be more patronising about the USA team if they tried. We arent playing the Faroe Islands. And please nobody ask Keggy Keagan if he thinks we will score from a penalty, the man is cursed and Southgate isnt exactly bristling with luck in that area either :bites nails:

I think it's quite funny that everyone seems to be going on about Wayne Rooney's temperament all of a sudden. Everybody knows what he's like, but he didn't pick up a single yellow card in the qualifiers...
He was pretty lucky not to the way he behaved at times, and the finals are always a lot different. Still lets hope he has learnt from the last time

Evening Capt
I've been listening to the build up on 5 live, about to put the telly on now.
Patronising commentary is really tempting fate. I listened to our match away at Wigan on Arsenal TV online and they were giving it large how terrible Wigan were - until they up and beat us

Evening Pride before a fall as they say :/ lets hope not. You dont underestimate a team from a nation of 300 million people and a strong sporting history I am sure Cappello wont be though.

Landon Donovan had Cashley in his pocket when Everton played Chelski this season so that'll be an interesting battle.
My son was a camp counsellor/football coach in 2002 in the States during the World Cup and more girls than boys played it then. There is a lot of competition in the States for football to compete with other sports - and the other sports are well established and give the best players a way into college
