I hope Pompey make a game of it tomorrow, the last thing we neutrals want is Chelsea to turn up and win 8-0...
Good luck to both teams tomorrow, I see the Wembley pitch will be under even more scrutiny than usual after the World Cup bid was delivered earlier today.... they really need to sort out the pitch and quickly, what I don't understand is why it could be so good at the old Wembley and so poor at the new Wembley.
Good luck to both teams in the Championship final as well, I really have no preference who joins us and Newcastle next season, I don't mind either team at all.

Well as I work with turf near enough every day ( and will be working with morcambe fc on their new ground soon), I would say its used way too much, its being used near enough every week. They have had concerts, racing events, american football, football, rugby and much more. It usually takes weeks for the turf and the roots to settle . They can splash out millions on fresh turf all they like, but if you don't give it at least a month to establish then its always gonna be piss poor. Its all easy for the clubs, come end of the season they have around 1-2 months with no one tearing it up. Im surprised they actually kept the grounds staff to be honest... there are groundsmen all over England dieing to get their hands on wembley who could do a much better job for less money.I hope Portsmouth fans enjoy their day, hopefully will be a decent match and they don't make it too easy for Chelski.
Not a great follower of football..up here in Scotland I believe we have a minnow team.Forfar County V's Dundee United. Good luck.
It`s Ross County that`s playing katty.
Come on United!!
Come on United!!
0:30
Half time in the Scottish Cup final.. Ross County 0 Dundee United 0
I`m struggling to see the ball with all the balloons on the pitch. I keep thinking they`ve ran past it.
I'm missing football already. Can't get interested in a FA Cup final between those two. I would like Bremen to beat Munich tonight in their FA Cup but that's only because I dislike Munich. Roll on June!
United scored...waaaay!!!
Another goal for United....waaaay!!!
And another...waaaaaaay!!!
Dundee United 3 Ross County 0
The Scottish Cup is coming home!
I`m so happy!

Well done Chelsea on winning the double!
This is a massive achievement when you look at how few times the domestic double has been done - and the exclusive group of great sides that have managed it.

Those cheating Bavarians have won the double too.
If Milan don't sort 'em selves out it will be a threble.

Up the Shrimps!
C'mon Morecambe!
C'mon Morecambe!
Nice, the Daily Mail manage to f*ck up the chances of England getting to host the WC.
They all start backing England and then next min they publish this sh*te which screws everyone over.

Indeed! Of all papers the Sunday Mirror have had a go at Ashley Cole too.
'Tis unlikely, but should England win then these piss poor papers will be so over the top with their patriotism that we will feel unworthy.

Well that went well!Genuinely gutted that Morecambe aren't coming up now, not enough northern teams in League One for my liking, too many long journeys. Always enjoyed away days at Morecambe anyways and with their new stadium would have made it even better.

The match reminded of myself in the under 8s team. Just boot the ball in the air and hope for the best.
I usually hate Sky News, but good to see they just ripped into the Daily Mail for accepting the stupid brats story about Lord Triesman. Apparently she tried to sell it to other papes but all declined.
Oh dear... West Ham want Sam Allardyce... the natives won't like that...
I was in London at the weekend and saw a few good-humoured Minstermen milling about. Didn't see any Oxford fans though.
And unfortunately, our coach home had to stop at Chepstow to let off a couple of Chelsea fans

Who would start as England captain if Rio Ferdinand were injured - would it be Steven Gerrard?
Probably! Why do you ask?
Just curious!
I just wondered if you thought John Terry should be-I do! About time Capello showed the press who was running the show.
John Terry's a scrote. And he's not even playing that well, at the moment.
I don't think that he is playing all that badly. Everyone is allowed a bad spell and I think Mr Lampard knows who we mean. One assumes that he will sort himself out by the competition. As for being a scrote surely that does for Lampard, the previously mentioned Gerrard, in fact quite a few of 'em.
I'm not saying it makes any of the above-mentioned lesser scrotes. Especially Gerrard, who should have gone down for affray. But Terry's still a scrote, not god-all-bloody-mighty, as he seems to think.
Liverpool hands off Martin O'Neill as Randy Lerner says.
Watched Inter win Serie A yesterday, so hope they win on Saturday to complete the treble although Bayern will do a treble if they win too..
Barcelona won La Liga, happy to see Madrid lose out again vile club.. and Sevilla got fourth by a point.

Why would he go there anyway? They finished below us, and the owners are awful.
Is it cos they is a bigger club and the most successful English club?

The papers don't get the message MON has said he's happy Villa and is staying, well Liverpool are a big club although this season has been a right disaster for them... still at least they have history to shout to the rooftops about for comfort.Reference:

In the dim and distant past, maybe, but unless he's an expert in time travel, I doubt he'd be interested. They aren't bigger (or wealthier) than us now.
All the same, Liverpool would be a huge challenge for him. It's the player/manager dimela. When do you leave? One can be a hero one season and a zero the next. I've seen it so many times over the years.
Having said that I see chelsea are lining up a deal of tens of millions and three crocks for Torres.

I dont know why they are using turf at all. They originally said when they first built the stadium that they were going to use the same system as they do at Arsenal. But you cant have interwoven Desso style artificial grass to strengthen it if you dont seeds. It also affects the whole drainage and subsoil does it not? I think this has all been caused by the fact that they couldnt get access to the pitch early enough when there were wrangling about the final payments to the building contractor. This delayed work on the pitch so caused some shortcuts to be made for it to be up in time. One of those shorcuts IMO was to turf, even now they say they dont have the time it takes to let a pitch made the way the Emirates was to bed in. It takes 3 months and they cant afford to have the stadium empty for 3 months.
So I guess until the bills are paid this is what we are left with. I especially think that American football and rugby shouldnt be played on it because that really rips up the pitch.
