Well done to Spurs tonight, but a huge well done to Man City as well for making the race for the final Champions League place so exciting all season.

And of course huge well done to my beloved Baggies for promotion to the Premier League, even if it is only for one season as usual!!  Bad luck to 'Boro and I wish them better luck next season.  I shall be cheering Blackpool on this weekend.

Their end of season run-in looked to be mission impossible but they were outstanding - and showed toughness and character in vital away games such as the one tonight.
The away form I thought was the one thing that was going to cost us, having rolled over at Chelsea,Arsenal,Liverpool & Man U so cheaply, I feared the same last night, but last night they put in a performance against the only team that could prevent them progressing into the top four, Thankfully for us it's not gone to Sunday,  I hope Villa, Spurs & City can keep challenging the top 4 next season .

So true, I really do hope this time they stay up and do what the likes of Stoke and Wigan have done to consolidate themselves in the PL.

Great news that Tamas and Steven Reid are likely to staying at the Hawthorns plus no chance of Dorrans going.

Wins on the road at Blackburn, Stoke and Wigan helped to keep momentum going for you - and were each fixtures that you had lost the previous season  IIRC

I didn;t think you rolled over at Old Trafford - the game was all square heading into the final 10 minutes. I thought Sunderland away was a dreadful performance and 3-1 actually flattered you that day.

Well thats Barry out the world cup... spoken to friends and they pretty much said he's useless any way, thats not necessarily true. He's at his best when playing for England and is a great holding midfielder, he brings the best out of the England midfield when slotted in along side Gerrard and Lampard. Carrick is the better player as a individual, but I don't think he is as good as a team player than Barry.

I really like Mancini so pleased Man City are keeping him as manager.

Harry Redknapp has won manager of the year, he's done great but I would have preferred it if Roy Hodgson got it.

Papers linking Bale and Modric with United which both have ruled out which I don't want them to join if the interest is true.. Berbatov and Carrick linked with exit though.

Come on Forest tomorrow beat Blackpool
Sorry Darlo, I'm hoping that Blackpool win the semi final as I have really had enough of Billy Davies' comments this season, and revenge for 2007 at Wembley......

I'm really looking forward to the twists and turns in League 1 today, so many teams chasing the last automatic promotion place and also the twist at the bottom with Hartlepool being deducted points.... I wonder what Sir Jeff is going to make of that today.....

Well done Blackpool, half way there......

I'm not normally a great fan of play offs, but after Billy Davies comments earlier this season and his insistence he was going to catch us up, as a Baggies fan, I just do not want them to do well, it's mixed feelings because I have always had a soft spot for Forest, it's just their obnoxious manager who puts me off.

It's just so much more exciting than finishing 2nd or 3rd and going up automatically..
It is exciting but you have to agree, getting to Wembley and losing there is heartbreaking.  I mean we beat Wolves twice to get to Wembley and then lost by a stupid, stupid goal, so on the whole I prefer to finish as runners up as we were not going to catch Newcastle.

Leeds are promoted, Gillingham relegated, Grimsby are relegated from the football league and there is crowd trouble there, Millwall, Charlton, Swindon, Huddersfield are in play offs in League 1.  Stockport, Southend, Wycombe and Gillingham are relegated from League 1.

League 2 Morecambe, Rotherham, Aldershot and Dag and Redbridge are all in play offs, Grimsby and Darlington are relegated from football league.
