I wouldn't worry about Evertons league form. Last night they were playing against a european side (an average 1 at that) with inferior players to all top half Premier League sides, Everton are terrified of them - Moyes has to take some responsibility as to why his players are terrified of them imo.
Spurs will be be a different thing altogether. Spurs have better players than Lisbon, but Everton won't fear Spurs because they are in the same league.

I think the situation with Chester is a bit different to the Portsmouth one from what I've been hearing on 5live this evening.
My understanding is that Chester have missed games and wouldn't give any kind of undertaking that they would be able to field a side in upcoming games as their players were not being paid and were refusing to even get on the coach!
I may be wrong but I'm sure I heard someone on the radio say that the decision to expel them was taken by the other Conference clubs by over 75% majority.
Evening all btw

you are right veggie

the conference recommended to the other clubs that they vote to get rid of chester and they did

the players refused to board the coach for the last planned match cos they hadnt been paid, so they were then banned for a couple of matches, so havent played at all for a few weeks

i just find it sad for the fans, dont wanna say anything about the owner but i have heard rumours

Thanks hun, I thought that was what I had heard but was listening with half an ear - as usual.
I felt for you last night (and Strike) watching the match. Gawd but they were rubbish - Senderos was a joke, made me ashamed that we loaned him to you. You would have laughed though to hear me and the son (Gooner and Man Uer) shouting and cheering on Everton. You said exactly what I was saying to the son last night about the fans that travelled over there, probably taking a couple of days off work and spending a load of money to watch that. I'd fine the players and use the money to refund the fans.

Once again it's one law for the lower clubs etc. How come they have let Portsmouth stay in the Premiership?
As others have said, Chester were a special case because they were missing games.Portsmouth are being treated in exactly the same way as any other team that's gone into administration, e.g. Southampton and Crystal Palace.

breaking news.............

england coach fabio capello has been finalising his world cup squad..

with the big tournament a few months away, capello has been fine tuning his squad to play in the world cup finals this summer.

after the sacking of captain john terry for a non football related matter, capello has also revealed that even a fit ashley cole will not make the squad.

'i've looked at ashley cole closely' revealed capello as he turned up the volume of his favourite girls aloud track..'and i just feel it's not right to take ashley'......staring at his signed photo of cheryl capello added 'ashley really isn't the player i need to take, therefore i'm taking titus bramble'.

new captain rio ferdinand is safe. capello has taken no chances and revealed ferdinand is already in south africa.

'the official line to the press is that ferdinand will either be suspended or injured' he said 'but given rio's ability to forget things-like drugs tests for example,we've sent him out early.

however,we can exclusively reveal ferdinand was infact spotted in southampton NOT south africa after getting confused about his flight from manchester airport.

also missing will be david james, who capello cites as 'having comitted crimes against haircuts and fashion can't be included' ,and most shocking..wayne rooney who was described by capello as..'a great player,a potential world beater, but he loved someone's granny too much'

as our reporter asked who exactly capello would be taking other than southampton resident ferdinand and titus bramble, capello let out a contented smile.

'believe me,england will have a team to beat the world' he stated confidently.

as our reporter left the office he could hear capello on the phone..

'can you get me the agents of ray clemence, steve claridge and geoff hurst please'

veggieeeeeeeeeee xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
i'll take a look at that later........looks good...........

am off to the bridge tomorrow to watch the mighty blues v city......should be good..an extra spicy with what's gone on........

though i have to say.....bridgey is now looking like a total muppet.......apparently he won't shake j.t's hand in the pre match formalities...and has declared himself unavailable for england........he's becoming the peter andre of football.......

vanessa perroncel was his ex..........and whilst i can understand he thought of j.t as a mate.......she's free to sleep with whom she chooses........and given the fact he and perroncel split up cos he was...to quote her...'out enjjoying himself in manchester whilst i was in london with our son'.......i doubt he was exactly being mr perfect himself........

and considering bridgey allowed himself to be pictured in the chelsea matchday programme dressed as a star wars character.....a hobby he openly admits to doing alot..........i can't say i blame her for looking elsewhere!!!

maybe he just didn't have 'the force'?!!!!!!!!!!!...........

Muppet for putting pride before football?
don't get me wrong meaty......i don't condone what terry has done..but bridge is a highly paid professional footballer.......and all this 'i can't play for england' stuff is waaaaaaaay over the top.........i think it's a male ego thing tbh.....

he's got no claim on vanessa perroncel whatsoever....they'd split up and she's free to sleep with who she chooses...even if it is his mate.......yes he can feel hurt by john terry's actions......but it's all a bit ott now imo...

Well I daresay anyone who reads VIZ would have got the joke, and the selfish reason behind it.
Meanwhile I'm looking forward to a pint either side of today's game. We're going for an Indian afterwards with our best friends and then home to watch the recorded Horse Racing. It doesn't get any better than that.

Im baffled as to why Wayne is recieving boo's
Obvious he would but never mind he'll be happy at the result. Still a game in hand for you guys too so that should boost the confidence.

What a bad day for Chelsea, shows how unpredictable it is.. Arsenal only have to win to go 2/3 points behind I thought they always had a chance yet some were quick to write them off.

Now come on Albion.
