He's up there now Darlo, but the big thing will be to see how all of those players you mention will do at the World Cup, because that's the pinnacle. I also think last night proved that on his day Ronaldinho is still up there with the best as well. I feared for United in the early stages because Ronaldinho was absolutely ripping Rafael to shreds, could and should have scored when he skinned him and then shot straight at Van Der Sar. Also did some magestic things with the ball at times.

Can't see Weiss wanting to stay at Bolton, he wanted a loan to get first team football... not sat on the bench and coming on the last 20 mins to clean up the cr*p mess that others have made. Playing Weiss and Wilshere together would be lethal... eff knows why Coyle aint starting them. I was speaking to a Bolton fan the other day and he said they both are probably their best players.

Gordon Taylor and co or whoever need to give their support to Pompey.... I feel for their fans although the lower league teams have it tougher.

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Looking forward to Saturday. I just know if we lose the papers will be like United blow title chances or something.

I'm glad I didn't watch the Liverpool match either earlier, apparently it was dire and an average performance oh well at least they won.

Shamelessly stolen from 606... what might have been if Megson was still in charge.

So lets go back to the end of December. We've just thrown away a 2 goal lead against Hull only in this reality Phil Gartside does nothing........

30th December 2009 - Bolton fans are waking up hoping to see the yellow ticker that spells doom for Gary Megson, however, what they see is Phil Gartside giving him a vote of confidence. "I'm Sure he can get us out of this and I'm letting him get us prepared for the weekend game against Lincoln!" Cue the worst bickering ever seen on 606 that is to be forever known as cull Wednesday where at least 7 members of the Bolton board are banned for airing their feelings in too much a bad way.

Friday 1st Jan 2010 - with ticket sales going badly Megson tries to rally the fans however, this goes horribly wrong when he actually critisises them again calling them not fit to wear the replica shirt, he also calls Lincoln a team of world beaters and promises to give them utmost respect.

Saturday 2nd Jan. A paltry 7,312 people pitch up to see Bolton squeeze Lincoln out of the cup 1-0 with a last minute Taylor free kick, small on quality the end attendance is 4014, 14 of them Bolton fans. More insults follow.
A bit of rest bite from football as snow in Sunderland causes the match to be called off - Megson says that dark forces were responsible - Bolton fans albeit a bit relieved still blame Megson for the snow as blaming him for everything is fun.

2 games vs Arsenal in a week now and in the first, (on telly as well), we defend far too deep and don't even look like threatening. A 0-4 scoreline flatters. An evil atmosphere makes way for the calm resignation of doom. The second game fares no better a 5-0 battering which without Jussi would've been 8. Still there's still the cup.

A thousand Huzzahs we edge Sheff U 1-0 in the cup in a match watched by 6,000 mostly insomniacs the goal coming after 67 from Klasnic,(just before he is taken off). 2 clean sheets in cup games are we turning that corner? We'll see on Tuesday as Owen Coyle's Burnley pitch up.

Ah. No. But a 1-1 draw is a half decent result Coyle gets a huge reception from both fans, (with the Burnley fans putting up posters of Jesus with Coyle's head superimposed on it), Megson gets booed as we let a lead slip, (and nearly worse), once again. Burnley loan signing Jack Wilshire is impressive some remarking "that's the type of player we need"

In the transfer market Megson tries to dib in and signs Guti, and some full back cloggers we've never heard of. Klasnic is broken for a bit so fans favourite Rasiak is brought in as emergency loan cover from reading.

A spirited performance against Lolerpool, (sorry Liverpool), ends in a defeat but we can be half proud of the performance.

January gives in to February and the visit of Fulham. Spirits raised with the half decent Liverpool performance gives way to disaster as we fare badly ending up conceding an 80th minute winner due to defending for a 0-0. Those few fans remaining at the Reebok all protest at full time. The media latch on to this but are unsympathetic saying we're at fault for all being nasty and we should all be grateful. Meanwhile up at Burnley Owen Coyle deity's are selling by the thousands and work is underway on the 20 foot gold statue.

Gartside still doesn't panic and we go to Man City looking shot to pieces. The blue mooners racing away 3-0 due in part to some very dodgy defending now Cahill is out with what Megson calls "some witchcraft done by evil forces"

Tottenham in the cup is an anti climax 3-1 we lose in front of 4 Bolton fans, 1 dog and the rest Spurs supporters. Due mostly to Megson resting most of the 1st team for the Wigan match.

Wigan away it seems is Megson's last stand. The first teamers come back in but due to both the awfulness of the pitch and both teams awfulness it ends goalless our first league clean sheet. Megson is sacked - the media think this is unfair as look we're 1 match unbeaten and it's all the fans fault.

Gartisde rings Barry Kilby at Burnley to speak to Owen Coyle but he says Owen is busy turning Water into Iron Bru. Gartside gets on the phone and we usher in a new, slightly wacky era, of former Italian Keeper Walter Zenga...

Hi all, have recovered (partially) from the debacle that was Wednesday night in Porto - 3 points today at least but still not firing on all cylinders.
LOL Hi Veggie... I was at my cousins flat talking to her boyfriend (TV was in the next room) all of a sudden I heard by the noise that Porto had scored so I rushed back to look.

Title race going right down to the wire.

Hi Darlo, how are you darling?
I think the PL is interesting this year - and the other leagues are keeping it tight too.
I will go mad if the PL let Portsmouth go under and we lose the 6 points we got against them this season. In the interests of fairness to all the PL teams, they must keep them afloat until the end of the season at least.
I felt really sorry for Portsmouth today, to lose like that in injury time
