David Beckham rant coming up... fair enough he's excited about coming back to OT second leg and the fans will cheer him I will in the second leg but the press are going on about it too much when there is still the match tomorrow at the San Siro it's about the teams not just about brand Beckham. Looking forward to it though.

Vidic isn't fooling me... he can clear off to Madrid in the summer.

Evening all, just listening to the Monday night club on 5 half dead!
Phil Neville comes across as quite a decent bloke - someone texted in and said he must have got all the diplomatic genes in the family!
Hi Darlo and Joe  Darlo, I told you in the Summer that Vidic wanted out.

Barney  Finally replied to you on FB hun. Went to see our Ladies win yesterday against Doncaster Rovers Belles.

Hi Veggie, he has got the nerve problem in his foot but it's all the rumours he wants out that have not convinced me he's being genuine despite his and his agent denials of it. I've heard now that apparently the players aren't happy with his attitude in training and he's been tough tackling the younger players and one got injured... all paper talk for now but we all know what they are like.

WBA need to win Cardiff.

Kind words from CR7 about us

Bubbles  But will they be going up as Championis, Championis

Darlo, I know exactly what you mean about players who want away seeming to get loads of non existent injuries. Adebayor was like that last season which is one of the reasons we Gooners despised him.
These players who want to take the money but can't be bothered to put a shift in really make me mad

As runners up!!  (joke)

Evening all, well I didn't want a bloody draw on Saturday and neither did Di Mat according to press reports and we have lost Jara for the rest of the season, foot injury.  Saying that, I  hope we win and Villa win and we get the local derby because I will not feel bad losing to them!  They'll be good banter on here as well, won't there Maggie??!!

Did anyone happen to have the Palace v Villa match on yesterday and see Warnock and his four letter abuse in the second half.  I could lip read every word he was saying and also even with my crap hearing, could hear him above the commentary and the crowd noise, there must have been a mike near him.  I believe he has made comments as well after the match.  He really is an nasty little man, up there with certain other managers IMO!!

Not normally that keen on Champions League, but will be watching with interest the match tomorrow night to see how Becks gets on.  I would imagine he will get a good reception from the travelling supporters and has already said publically that, if he does score, he will not celebrate.  I know a lot of people knock Becks, but TBH I have always liked him both as a player and a man, though the Brand Beckham does get a bit boring at times.

Anyway, we need to win tomorrow night, keep pressure on Newcastle and keep Forest well away and then we don't play til Sunday, when we are live on BBC1 at lunchtime.

Truthfully Joe, not really.  It's coming to the part of the season I hate now, the run in.  We have lost players due to injuries and stupid, stupid suspensions (yes you Jerome Thomas!!) and it has weakened our squad no doubt about it.  It's been a constant battle with Newcastle, though that part has been good and with Forest and their unbroken run a few weeks back, the pressure is really on.  I just wish we had managed a result one way or another on Saturday, a replay is the last thing we need at this stage of the season, though part of me loves a good cup run, I don't want to go through the play offs again, selfish I know, but I just remember the heartache of 2007.  We need to win tonight, to keep the momentum going but Cardiff are a good side and Dave Jones a good manager, so will just have to wait and see.

Will be watching Man Utd tonight and checking the score every so often.  Good luck to Utd, though I would like Becks to score and good luck to Arsenal tomorrow.

I love it, me. There was something in our local paper last night suggesting that our Chairman has sorted out finance and we are on course for the play-offs. However I would love a season of consolidation and then a Championship season. It's so perverse but I am enjoying this season as much as the last time we were in this Division. Maybe I just don't like the Premiership?
Of course in reality they have to try to get back up there as quickly as possible because that's where the real pretty polly is. (Oh my brothers)

What does everyone think of this so called proposal to have 4th- 7th place in the Premier League to have a play off for the fourth Champions League spot?, I personally think it's a good idea tbh
At the risk of repeating myself.... They should restrict the competition to the First Division winners of each country and have a knock out competition as before. That would enable them to restructure our top League as a 21 team (at least) and have more proper League games on Saturdays.

Everton have totally choked here. They were in cruise control and then all of a sudden turned petrified of an average Sporting team and Sporting have just scored a pen which to be honest I think was just outside the box anyways.

2-1 (if they hold on) will be a tricky result to take to Lisbon, especially if they play with fear like they have done for most of the second half tonight.

1-0 down and we are sticking to the same shite tactics, Mancini is screwing us over... Vieira is on a yellow card and is on the verge of a red, yet he keeps him on the field. Now he brings on Zabaleta... WTF I know its a tough place to get a win but why throw the towel in already? I never seen such boring defensive football... and it isnt working

Get Warnock in
MrMincePie
What a game not as good in the first half as we were second half and sloppy at the back at times which i'm sure they will sort out. Rooney is so class but it's a team performance and he's right to be peed off with Nani's selfishness in the first half.

Forest close the gap on Albion, exciting stuff.

Walsall won at Leeds GET IN!

Meaty Stoke will be feeling gutted, oh well at least a point for you guys.. another game still in hand right?.

Nani did do some good crosses but no-one was there,
Fact is someone should have been there. Look at Rooney's movement for his 2 goals, absolutely fantastic. You have to move for crosses, it's not a question of being 'there' and standing and waiting for the ball to land on your head, you have to attack it and beat the defender to it. Nani put some great balls in in the first half, but Rooney and Park were just static, flat footed with no desire to get on the end of them, and then Rooney yelling abuse at Nani is just going to do more damage than good.

Yeah they will be fine and go up automatically still IMO, what a result for the Saddlers with a little squad the papers will be full of praise tomorrow.

Yup... always the tiny / unfashionable West Midlands club... i think the only time i can recall them getting a media boost was when Merson managed them for about five minutes! LOL
