Oh yes remembered why I came here in the first place
"Runs into thread and yells at the top of her voice"
WE ARE SECOND IN THE LEAGUE, SAY WE ARE SECOND IN THE LEAGUE!!!!! We're coming to get ya onetoo (joking hun)
I don't see how Football fans could ever bring the scratter press onto a forum such as this one. My heart sinks every time I see News International trash quoted here, even if they are slagging off today's Chelsea footballers such as ... er, Adrian Mutu. As an England supporter it very much annoys me to see Terry, Cole, Lampard, Beckham, and co. constantly atttacked for non-footballing reasons. Perhaps it's time for the shitty hacks concerned to come out and tell us which international team they do support. It isn't England.
Enjoyed watching the Spurs match the other day, Leeds can take a lot of credit and be proud of themselves but the away side especially Defoe wanted it much more.
Me and my dad were watching but were more bothered about the WBA result so we kept turning over to see it on SSN.
Hiya PB, at times the Score centre on the SSN website can be slow and behind for me.
How is Gabriel Tamas doing?, I read in the E&S about Slory's slow start once he starts to settle in then time will tell if he can prove his worth or not.
Tamas will be ok I'm sure, just has to get used to our way of playing. I was really pleased with the report in the Star last night and feel that, much as I liked TM, under him we would have gone on to lose the match. Di Mat seems to have given us a backbone and I like that very much. Martyn Swain was right in his column as well, us and Wolves need to sort ourselves out and stop yo-yoing.
On TalkSport breakfast yesterday, Alan Brazil was tipping us to go up as Champions, he said we were getting it together at the right time of the season and Newcastle had stalled a little. I'm not sure about that, I still think Newcastle will be champions, they are a good team, Forest are our biggest threat, and I let out such a cheer on Saturday when they lost a bit of ground. Also I think Billy Davies has shown himself up a little by the comments he made after the Derby match, as I recall nobody has made comments about Nigel Clough in that way before, even as a player, so why would he do it now? Sour grapes methinks.
hiya Darlo.
As for play offs it's still wide open, only takes a few slip ups and another team is back in there.
EDIT:- Disley got there first, sorry.
Gerrard, Ferdinand and Rooney aren't exactly role models, and they'd probably be amongst the most likely to get it...
I don't want Rooney to be captain, however if he gets it then I will be right behind him. Give it to Gerrard but then the only negative is seeing tango Alex Curran all over the papers.
Guessed it would happen, Capello has to stamp his authority on the team and he has stated in the past he won't stand for any problems within the team. I think he was forced into a corner by the media baying for John Terry's blood and it had escalated so much, Capello had to be seen to do the right thing. It's harsh for JT, but let's hope he has finally learnt his lesson. I do sort of feel sorry for him, but he is a role model to a lot of people and the holier than thou media have not really helped, I wonder if they have never done anything wrong in their pasts, but the people I feel most sorry for are his kids, As with the Katie Price circus, the kids are always the ones who suffer in this type of situation.
The spokesman for the London England fans is making a lot of sense on SSN
I still think that the media have got a lot to answer for over this, as they have had over many other things.
Sorry! I could have phrased that better
I knew your views from previous posts, I was giving my own view on role models.
Now to the important things this weekend - will the Baggies beat Plymouth tomorrow?? Green Army!!!
so he's the new role model captain??.........laughable......
if capello is so worried about players in the england dressing room and john terry......surely just removing him as captain isn't enough??..he's still going to be part of the england set up..he'll still be there.....whilst i fully understand why capello has sacked him....lets face it the papers would have gone nuts if he hadn't.....how much of a difference does it really make??
interestingly enough....vanessa perroncel has decided against selling her story now......is this because it's now come to light that she allegedly had affairs with quite a few chelsea players...and is worried if she sells her story more allegations about her will appear.......
as for the captinancy.....if the f.a/capello are looking for a squeaky clean captain they'll be hard pushed....ferdinand certainly isn't.....and neither are half the squad.....what if ferdinand has an indiscretion of some sort before the world cup....will he be sacked too?......
i was listening to an interview with ray parlour.....the ex arsenal midfielder.......he described j.t as 'the best skipper for england and a natural born leader'...then said......'capello was right to sack him'.........makes no sense!!
Pete Rossi (Rangers) says...
On behalf of the Scottish Nation i would lke the to thank the British media of taking the world cup away from ENGLAND cheers guys thank you
It's doing it to me again... says that Meaty has replied to this thread but I can't see his post.
Vidic back tomorrow Muf.
I hope the team keep it up, they're starting to play some good stuff and the confidence is growing.
Saha signs new contract extension at Everton till 2012.
Looking at her pictured with Max Clifford on the cover of a national daily tabloid this morning, i would think the comment about her not selling the story is somewhat barbed.
