There's lots of stories popping up on newsnow that Jack Wilshere will be joining on loan later today or early tomorrow.

I'm not sure about this, admittedly he's a talented kid, but he's 18 years old. I doubt whether he'd be mature enough to handle playing every week and needing to deliver the goods.

A bit of time in the Championship might suit him better, followed by a loan to a Premier League club next season.

Personally I thought that AW was really complementary to Villa in a lot of the things he said. If MON wants to throw a hissy fit over one phrase then so be it *shrugs*
As for Wiltshire going on loan to Bolton I don't know any Arsenal fans who would like it. He needs to go on loan but I agree with Disley, he should go to a Championship side or lower like all our other loanees. JW has been getting far too big for his boots over the last year - no doubt inspired by reading his own press. Allowing him to go to a PL club will just enforce his over inflated opinion of himself. We had heard that it was likely to be between Burnley and West Ham for the loan but I expect that it will be announced tomorrow at the Press Conference

If it was up to me Joe I would send him to West Brom - or maybe Swansea tbh. He needs to be in a team that gets the ball down and plays and where they have established players that will squash him down a bit.
I have watched him a lot in our reserves and babies and he has a foul temper. He does make me laugh at times though. When we lost to the Villa reserves because the ref was a complete (serious trigger words) we honestly didn't think he would finish the match on the pitch. After one particularly bad challenge on him when the ref again did nothing, he told the ref he was a "useless 'rhymes with' Punt" - which earned him a booking and a loud chant of 'Jack Wilshere you are right' from the fans
Meaty - he won't be like Adebayor as he is not a lazy, shiftless back stabber - and dirty as he can be at times I can't seriously see him trying to stamp on someones head.
Oh and he has loads of talent and works hard - so not like Adebayor at all then really

From what I saw on the tellybox 'toid, the crowd seemed to be in more danger of being hit than the goal.
Not the best example, but in his limited starts for us so far, he's been great. Scored in league cup run (helping us get to Wembley), played a blinder against Man Utd (helping us beat them at Old Trafford).
Has fitted into Barry's old role perfectly, except he's younger and quicker.

Was thinking before about Manchester United's weak weak midfield and I was going through some of the top sides in europe and asking myself would Fletcher, Anderson, Gibson or Carrick get into their teams.

Barcelona... not in a million years with Xavi, Iniesta, Keita, Toure, Busquets.

Real Madrid... no chance.

Arsenal... Carrick would maybe get in alongside Fabregas if he's lucky

Chelsea... Essien, Ballack, Deco, Lampard, Mikel would all be ahead of Carrick and Fletcher.

Inter... Nope

AC Milan... Pirlo, Ambrosini, Gattuso, Seedorf, Beckham all way ahead of the United 2.

Liverpool... Hmm Fletcher wouldn't as Mascherano is a better player, but if Gerrard plays as the second striker, then possibly Carrick would fill the Alonso role.

I could go on.

The sooner Ferguson buys a top class midfielder, the better. They need a younger version of Paul Scholes and they also need Owen Hargreaves back.

Have seen a lot of Adam Johnson up here in reserve matches, friendlies etc (I even played against him when I was about 18 - He was unbelievably good) and in my opinion he's better than Downing. He's technically better, got quicker feet and like Downing has a fantastic left foot.
Surely some mistake. He is none of those things and definitely of no use to anyone else.

So Mark Davies is fit enough to start for Bolton today 10 or 11 days after the Gallas tackle.
Makes a bit of a mockery of all the whining and hullaballoo and dire predictions that he would be out for a minimum of four weeks and probably much longer that we were hearing about.
Glad for the player that he was not badly injured but really annoyed at all the negative press Arsenal got

Hi Darlo
I'm going to watch our Ladies in a cup match tomorrow afternoon so I won't see the match.
Tbh, along with quite a few Arsenal fans I know, we are really fed up with some of the stuff going on. Wilshere going on loan to Bolton has upset every Arsenal fan I know. we are furious about getting gazumped over Smalling and sick to death of the bad results and performances we seem to get virtually every time the team play in those bloody white shirts (the fake Spurs kit).
I don't expect us to beat you lot tomorrow either
