Strike, our fans were crap. There was plenty of singing, but rarely the whole away section singing the same thing together at the same time. Your away section wasn't as bad as I was expecting, although I wouldn't have liked being crammed in the back of the lower tier.
Nice of your fans to stay back and applaud the lads in red off the pitch. I doubt many other teams fans would do that for a League One side, maybe a non-league side but not a League team.

Sad news today, Neil Clement, the long serving Baggies defender has had to retire from football after his knee injury.  I'm really sad about this as he is my current favourite player, a really nice man who takes the time and trouble to talk to fans and also that we have lost a really, really good player.  I am hoping that, on Friday night, we sing his name loudly during the match.  He is staying with the Baggies until the end of the season, gettling involved with the academy and youth teams.  I wish him and his family all the luck going and thank him for 10 years of his playing career. Hopefully the club will give him a testimonial/benefit match of some kind, to give the fans a chance to say goodbye.  Good luck in the future Clem and thanks for all you have done.

I genuinely hope so Darlo, Michael Appleton did of course when he had to retire early due to his injury, so I'm hoping Clem does the same.  Di Mat has also apparently been giving him support behind the scenes, so I think the club will be behind him.  It's a shame, as it is whenever a footballer has to retire early due to injury, but for me even sadder as I really like him as a player and as a man.  He is really nice, I have met him outside the Hawthorns after a match and he took the time and trouble to talk for about 10 minutes to me and my hubby about the match and how the Baggies were doing and to even introduce his wife to us.  A really really nice man and one that had a huge personal tragedy at a young age (his dad who played for QPR took his own life).

Fingers crossed the match can go ahead anyway, not looking good at the moment I imagine, due to the snow.  Did you manage to get into college today?

Time for a summer league. Say February to November instead of August to May.
One disagrees. It's not worth it just for a bad winter every coupla decades. Bad weather is just as likely in February and March anyway and what would one do without Boxing Day and New Year games? They have a winter break in The Fatherland and they look upon us with envy.
