Gary Megson finally gone at last then, about time.

Hi darlo, would that mean teams having the points won against
Pompey chalked off.
Pompey chalked off.
Roy Hodgson signs new 12 month rolling contract at Fulham.
Hi RZB, hope you have a good New Years. No it only means that Portsmouth if they don't prove things are improving there with finances they could go bankrupt or even shut down by them.

Cheers Darlo, did you have a good Christmas, any new games ?. Watch much footy, I went to WHL on 28/12 v West Ham, I mixed the kick off time up these bloody kick off times drive me mad.
Best to have a look at the fixture lists, but it's all complicated.
Christmas is boringlol. Just Man U vs Wigan tonight at OT highlights SS1 at 10:15.
Well done to Spurs, top 4 going into 2010.
I'm sorry but has Arry cast a spell on Portsmouth and Southampton.

& West Ham by the looks of things, but he left Pompey in a reasonable state,
West Ham hopefully will have enough to scrape out of the relegation zone although they might have to sell Scott Parker and a couple of their players.
Forgot about Portsmouth vs Arsenal RZB.

going by the first half of Monday's game, it will be their home form that does it, can't see them picking much up on the road. I think they'll stay up, but like Hull & Pompey last year, it will be because others around them are so poor.

away win written all over it.
Gianfranco Zola has done a really fine job with limited resources, they have a decent enough squad to stay up thats for sure.
I'm hoping Wolves stay up and West Brom get promoted.

I've a feeling Pompey might be doing better if Arry Redknobb didn't keep going back and nicking their players.
Afternoon all.
Disley you must be really pleased that Megson has gone! I know I was!!
As it is so near the end of the decade now, I was wondering what is the thing you remember best about the last 10 years of football?
Mine is the Great Escape in 2005. I still vividly remember the roller coaster ride of emotions that afternoon, watching Soccer Special and the radio on as well. I just remember the relief when the full time whistle went and there was nothing else we could do, it was out of our hands.

We had a barbeque on that day as it was very hot, my cousin and her boyfriend came over they are WBA fans like my dad and we had the TV on so we could hear what was happening, lots of twist and turns but when confirmed WBA stayed up that year we screamed so loudly and phoned up my uncle because he's a Wolves fan and our neighbours supporting the Wolves also had to listen to the celebrations.
OH was at the Albion, asked me to keep in touch on mobile as i was watching sky sports whilst ironing he couldn't hear me i couldn't hear him but i knew before him,and he said it was the greatest and most nerve racking game he has ever been to for atmosphere and pure joy.

I don't know how Clare Tomlinson of Sky Sports News manages to keep a straight face at the Arsenal results being a Spurs fan.
Well done both your teams Darlo and Veggie .Keeping it all very interesting at the top.

Well done to Arsenal and United.
Hi Maggie, who the Villa got next and do you think MON will spend cash?.
Meaty this is telling me you've left a comment but I can't see anything lol, do you think Mancini will take Joe Hart back considering the form he is in at Birmingham.

Darlowe have Blackburn in the cup on Sat (home)and we also play them Tues in the Carling (away).I think MO'N is happy with the squad he plays his cards so close to his chest who knows, but a new striker wouldn't go amiss,Lots of rumours of unrest after Liverpool and Arsenal results, but that is to be expected.
Maggie xx
Oh yeah Carling Cup time again, hope you beat Blackburn.
Wigan next for you guys in the league I looked, we got Birmingham next.

Wigan were absolutely shocking tonight. One of the worst displays from a Premier League team I've seen in years.
Something wrong with their squad Crucnchy but that performance against Spurs was really shocking it was abysmal. Hugo Rodallega is the brains of the Wigan team.
United played well throughout and should play more like this but the second half against Man City at OT the way we played it's that standard we should be at

It was a good performance by MU, but the way Wigan played tonight, Darlington would have beaten them by 3 goals comfortably.
I'm not convinced with some of the players they have in their squad, they have just enough to survive again it's hard to pick who will go down.
Do you think Mourinho will end up as next Utd manager, bookies seem convinced?.

To be honest no I don't. I'd like him to, but I think he loves Chelsea too much for that.
I think United will go for a relatively unproven manager like they did 23 years ago with Ferguson. Mourinho has always said he wants to manage Portugal one day, so him coming to Manchester wouldn't really be long term and I think the club will be wanting another long term successor to Ferguson.
I think if Steve Bruce does well at Sunderland during the next few years, he'll have it in the bag.

I think he will tbh. Martin O'Neill is another name linked but I think he will stick it out at Villa where he's doing a fine job but who knows these days?.
I'm a bit surprised that O'Neill hasn't gone to a top top club sooner to be honest.
I've just been watching some Zinedine Zidane footage on youtube. If ever a young kid needs an inspiration for first touch and control of a football, they should just watch some of the stuff that's out there of Zidane. Absolutely out of this world, it looks effortless as well.

Zidane was an awesome player but I truly despise Real Madrid.
LOL i know.
Just think of him at Juventus though. That's where he really made his name.

Yeah good ol' Juve I can't stand them either, but he did great there.
I really like Sevilla they are a european team always on the up, loved it when they won the UEFA Cup twice in a row.
It'll only ever be Milan as far as Serie A goes for me.
Don't dislike Inter, but just don't have the same affection for them as I do for Milan.
