I watched the 69ers play Munich last night, a total disaster. I see the 'Boro have drawn the cheating Mancs yet again.
the last 2 season we've drawn United in the 4th round, both times away.
You had a brilliant result against them for Sven's final game. Was it 7 goals,

Bayern Munich have played down reports suggesting they are lining up a bid for Ryan Babel
.
Disley Serbia are a decent team also.

Maybe there is some truth in that because my mate from uni who is a liverpool season ticket holder told me about 2 weeks ago that they are getting Ribery for cash plus a player. That player could be Ryan Babel.
No offence to any irish posters on here, but your football association are embarrassing themselves now.
Asking to be a 33rd team in the world cup?
On what grounds can they possibly say they merit a place in the world cup?
Even taking aside the fact that the inept bunch of bottlers missed chance after chance in that match at the Stade de france, over the 2 legs Ireland weren't leading the tie once, not even for a second. So how can they possibly say they were robbed of the win? Yes Henry handballed it, so they were robbed of being taken to penalties, but it's impossible to put forward a case to say Ireland had certain qualification snatched away from them.
Just let it go for goodness sake. Chances are, judging by the irish finishing during the match, they would have missed all their pens anyways.

I don't think Ribery will come back to England Crunchy I think that he will end up going to Real Madrid in the summer.
Aguero could end up at Chelsea and Villa could end up at any of the top 4 sides...
How many attacking players do Real Madrid need?
Well if they sign Ribery, maybe they could let C.Ronaldo join Barcelona as a long term replacement for Henry I'm sure the number 7 shirt is going spare.

I think Villa may end up going to Barcelona instead actually, but apparently now all this stuff that he wouldn't rule out England when at first he said that he intended in staying in Spain and had no interest in coming here.
I don't even think Ribery is even worth the ridiculous amount Bayern Munich are demanding, he's a good player but not world class level plus he is at a team that is on a downward spiral anyway last couple of seasons.

Barcelona forward Lionel Messi wins Ballon d'Or award , not a suprise really, he'll probably win World Player of the year also.

Hats off to united... playing a weak side against a strong spurs side and they are 2-0 up.
But the referee is giving nothing to Spurs, all the 50/50 decisions are going to Man U....as always, we are being cheated at OT as always.
But then we have been shit tonight too, Bentley is awful.
But then we have been shit tonight too, Bentley is awful.
It's come to the stage that everytime we play Man U at old trafford I expect us to lose.
Just realised we play t'other Wanderers on Saturday...
Ahhh... memories... John McGinlay's "wee push" in a play-off semi final before scoring the winner, a 21 man brawl with Bryan Small being the only player not to get involved, Wolves fans chucking pies at our mascot only for him to run at them, and start climbing the fence, when they promptly all ran away from one bloke dressed as a lion, which brought a chorus of 'he's not a real lion'....
It was quite a heated rivalry at one point, to say the least... Should be a good one...

Hey RZB long time no speak
Indeed! What a disaster! It looks like Chelsea are going to win by a tatttie field. However if Terry, Lampard, and especially Ashley Cole take their form into the World Cup then I will have no further complaint.

So we have drawn the Rags for the semis Roll on then,Wenger refused to shake hands at the end. If we played our youngsters against Arsenal first team I would be worried... its complicated when it comes to playing young players these days, one bad game for them and it could destroy their confidence
Semis:
City v United
Blackburn/Chelsea v Villa

I wonder what team Fergie will put out against City. although the ties are played at a time when the C/L is on the back burner,
I forgot the footie was on yesterday, was busy playing on my new wrestling game. Catched up with the goals online and loved Tevez goal.

Hello RZB, you are right whilst England have improved under Capello clearly there is still much more work to do and I don't think we're not ready enough yet to win the World Cup, but it's next year and anything can happen but we always seem to bottle it against the better teams.
I have a very sneaky feeling that under Capello, next year could be our year, we are improving all the time and he keeps the showbizzy aspect under control, players are not allowed to do as they want when playing for England and the discipline and morale in the team seems much better. I may well do something I never usually do and have a sneaky fiver on England to at least get to the semi finals, if not get to the final.
I'll be interested to see who is in the group stages with us and who the other seeded teams end up with as well.

Sol Campbell considering offers then - and not Newcastle.
According to last nights paper, we have lodged a bid with his agent, but the Newcastle rumours were still strong in the Star

I get the impression, a bit like when he left Spurs, he knows where he's going, he just didn't realise he couldn't play for them until after Christmas.
Newcastle or us would be good choices for him I think, wonder who he will sign for especially as we have already said we are not signing players in the January transfer window, and we don't usually make big signings then anyway.
