I've got a feeling that Chelsea might suffer big time for the players reaction last night. Uefa have been looking for a chance for sometime to put one over on the Premiership and they might feel that this is their opportunity.
I still find it difficult to believe that they couldn't find a top German or Italian ref for a CL semi-final.

Alright, playing a bit of the devils advocate here , I can't see anything happening to the Ref - I think each Penalty decision can be debated and therefore the ref has to be 100% certain - which as there was doubt - he couldn't give them

The first one : The foul started outside the box and the ref played the advantage as far as he could then pulled the play back.

The second one : Drogba tripped himself up, you can see it, his right boot clips his left ankle - it could be argued the defender made that happen.

The third one : Pique didn't move his hand towards the ball, before Anelka hit it, Piques' arm was already up there to keep balance as he twisted...but his arm shouldn't be up there in the penalty box regardless..

Right let me be clear lol - I've seen penalties given for far less for each of these. All I'm saying is that the referee's decisions can be explained.
