I don't think Ben Foster should have been called up, he's made so much mistakes lately and obviously his confidence has gone down but in a way this might help get it back up and him improving but wrong decision by Capello.

I don't care about him but what I do care is that they're a quality side and the players they have now imo deserve to make it. If they don't then Maradona will probably be sacked
Darlo sorry i have to disagree there, they are not a quality team any more, they are living on past glory, much the same as we have done, the difference is we now have a manager who hopefully is up to the job, they have a manager who is corrupt and full of his own self importance,he is a disgrace to his country and has no business being involved in any aspect of football.

Shocking performance from England. Steven Gerrard injured as well. Couldnt have been any worse.

Argentina are still a quality side, its just that their manager is shit. Maradona doesnt have a clue what he's doing. Even if they qualify, if Maradona is still in charge of them come South Africa, Argentina will not make it past the quarters. They need to get rid of him.

Apart from the last sentence, I turtelly agree. If they do qualify let's hope that Germany kick their butts again.

If they were that quality they would have qualified by now...they haven't cos they don't deserve to.

I've read so much guff about who may not be at the World cup and papers saying certain players should be there...no they shouldn't. The players that should be there are the ones that have worked their socks off for their respective teams and helped secure their place.

Spot on, there's a massive list of brilliant players who have never played at the World Cup. It's just the way it works, and it's tough.

Emile Heskey would consider leaving Aston Villa

I saw that, and he can go and get stuffed if that's his attitude. He'd get more starts for us if he played better, but he's still not leaving unless WE say he can.
~wonders how a few games in the reserves would concentrate his mind~

I saw earlier that Bolton are something like joint 3rd favourites to sign him.

Why would we want that donkey when Kevin Davies does everything he does 100 times better?
disley21
Agbonlahor and Carew are your best strikers, he's mainly back up really, if you could sell him in January if he wants to go then you could use it to whatever funds are available to bring in another striker as you're a bit short still in that area.
darloboy (Play The Game!)
You mean the big clattering lump that no other English striker could score more than last season?

And besides, Heskey wasn't a Villa player in that game, but it is funny that you stopped winning when he signed for you....

Me and maggiep will put all our spare change together
He will need an awful lot of spare change if he thinks he will be going to South Africa, not good enough no matter which team he goes to.MO will not be happy with him speaking to the press like that, and the fans will want rid of him .

Can't quote again MO is a pretty fair manager, doesn't give reasons or discuss issues with players with the press,he will deal with this in his own way,and how HE decides fit.We are lucky to have him Deman
