he's no angel..but he is no where near as bad as he is made out to be.
True but he's so outspoken he couldn't give a damn what people think but he is hypocritical though lol, but he's done such a great job. The press twisting it as usual the words did come from Fergie's mouth but they know that some will be lining up to criticise because he has people who simply can't stand him or United, got to take the punishment though.

Was it Maidstone that finally got in to the football league, but ended up playing games at Dartford, It all went terribly wrong.
Sorry I toddled off to do dinner....

Yeah that was Maidstone...they made the play offs in their first season in the football league....they sold their ground in Maidstone (I have the programme from the last ever match) and then the council refused them planning permission on every place they found to build the new one.

I still have the last shirt from the Football league as well....They did reform as are now in the same league as Dartford (the Ryman Premier league)though Dartford are walking that at the minute. Maidstone are now playing at Ashford, they were at Sittingbourne and we saw them there last season.

Its a joke that the England match isnt going to be shown instead of that dancing program and the x factor. The england match is way more important than the other 2,surely.

Apparently the Ukranian FA decide who has the rights to show their home games and sold the rights to the net company so our FA couldn't do nothing unfortunately to prevent it but it is a joke, oh well SCD for me on Saturday then.

Hi DarloYeah, its a shame the Ukranian FA were asking for too much money, you would think they would want to showcase their national team in our country. Oh well, my friend has bought it on the internet, but i dont know how much i will see with 10 of us all around one little screen.
Either that or watching the xfactor. Or just have both on.

Hope you all enjoy the match, true you would think they would want to promote their team here seems not the case obviously and want the money but it's at their venue so only fair. Will have to do a bit of turning over on Sat, to see especially 3 acts who i've chosen to support and for Dannii Minogue.

afternoon footie fans just wondering how much longer John Barnes will be in a job - he got the dreaded "vote of confidence" a couple of weeks ago so it cant be much longer
Evening Barney, glad to see you in here but sorry I missed you. Just wanted to give you a hug after your girls were knocked out of the CL today.

That 3-0 deficit from the first leg was just too much to make up but I've read that you gave it a real go.

Arsenal Ladies got through to the next round - next up are Sparta Prague Ladies, that'll be interesting.

Evening everyone btw

wow questions questions - here are my answers

1.   Passionate fans and good attendances at matches

2.   Don't increase the league number - kick out Liverpool and whatever team Allardyce is managing at the time

3.   Nah, let them join the premiership.

4.   Away matches would be a pain.

*waits for crossy's answers - (and any other footie fans that turn up)*

Morning all, wonder how long it will be now before Keane goes from Ipswich.

On the Celtic/Rangers debate, I don't think they should play in the EPL, two teams would have to lose their place in the PL and I can't see both Scots teams wanting to start in League Two and work up to the PL.  Don't the PL think that they have messed about with the game enough as it is, trying to bring in the extra world wide game, how much revenue will that produce for the smaller PL teams?  Not much.

Article from skysports about Celtic/Rangers and Scottish opposition to the idea.  Linky

Morning hun.
1. Agreed.  Saw the Old Firm Derby on Sky last Sunday and what amazing support.
2. Sadly that ain't gonna happen!  It would be two of the smaller PL sides and would make it harder to get promoted to the PL from the Championship (a subject close to my heart as you know!!)
3. Maybe the Championship and let them prove they could bring something to the PL, any lower division and it would too easy for them, at least the Championship is quite a difficult division.
4.  Can't see the London teams, Pompey liking away matches, or Celtic/Rangers fans liking the journeys to the above teams.

Anyway just my thoughts as a fan with a team in the Championship, wanting promotion.

Morning Footyfans barney pb crossy

on a side note crossy..when you 'moin' I'm guessing this is 'morning' but spelt the way your accent is or something? I don't get it lol

Ooo interesting debate on Old Firm and Prem - personally me (argh - Sree!!) I don't even think it should be a debate. It is a seperate country. Talk of this will only accelerate and populise the concept of having a European League - which I could not stand. The only reason the Old Firm talk about this is because their league is so relatively weak. They should concentrate on strengthening their league rather than persistantly talking about joining the premiership. Ok, it would be interesting to see how they would do in the prem - but I guess we only need to see how they do in the Champions League to give us an indication....
