Woo Hoo. Still on cloud nine
Congrats Broxi. I haven't seen the match but was surprised tbh, We've played both Celtic and Rangers recently and I thought that Celtic were much better - although Rangers in the Emirates cup (like all the teams taking part) did play 2 matches in 2 days so had to mix and match the players a bit.
I'm delighted with our win today too although not happy about conceding two goals - still as long as we score more than we give away then the points will keep on coming

Evening everyone btw

Hi Darlo and Maggie

Darlo, he is brilliant, and he is so tiny when you see him playing live.
We have a song for him to the tune of the old Adebayor one. It goes:
5 foot 4
He's 5 foot 4 -or -or
We've got Arshavin
F*&% Adebayor

hey Maggie, I will be cheering you on loudly tomorrow night - if I can get rid of this virus I seem to have picked up. I should be going to watch our babies play Chelsea tomorrow evening at Underhill (Barnets ground) but I will see how I feel.
I hope you have a toasty warm welcome back to Villa Park for a certain Mr Barry

PMSL you've survived without Adebayor as expected and so true Arshavin's your best player imo miles ahead of Fabregas. I like the look of Vermaelen at centre back, RVP is playing some good stuff, Walcott is near back to capturing his form again, things looking up and well done to Wenger about long serving manager he's done a great job, especially since he's not gone overboard with the money and you're not in debt at all.

Veggie the best way to pay that person back,is to beat them,it's a game i am a bit nervy about but we can do it,hope you recover from virus the one's going around at the moment are quite debilitating
Darlo-MO'N always has his reasons, and never feels he hasto justify his decisions and make a fuss like certain other managers,
Maggie xx

Evening Meaty and Disley

Darlo, Fabregas was awesome today. Thierry Henry was at the Emirates and those in the know seem to think it inspired Fabregas and the other players especially Walcott when he got on.
There is a really strong bond between Arsenal and a lot of former players like Viera, Pires Henry and Bergkamp - says a lot for the club I think.

Disley - I think that is a really excellent point about the aging England defence. Apparently kids don't want to be in goal or play in defence because it's not 'glamorous' enough according to something I read recently.
It's not just England that have this problem, Italy which has traditionally  produced a conveyer belt of great defenders is also suffering

Afternoon all, at the risk of upsetting Meaty (but I am from the West Midlands!!) come on Villa tonight and come on Wolverhampton Wolves speedway team who are riding in the first leg of the finals for the Elite League tonight at Monmore Green.  My husband and nephew are going and as it is on Sky and I don't have ESPN (yet) will be watching the speedway and on here to find out the Villa score.  Hoping not to see their ugly faces on Sky!!

Jara picked for the Chilean national team for the internationals this week, nice one, he looked ok on Saturday.

What is MON playing at about Curtis Davies contract?, he won't give him one until he has played 60 games but he is out for 4 months due to his knee injury and has only played 58 games, why doesn't he stop messing around and give him one.
I think M O'N knows what he is doing.  There's a good chance that Davis could be out for longer (Neil Clement was out the whole of last season with same type of injury) and there is a chance Clem won't be able to play first team football again.  Also according to the Star, Davis's agent was playing his face regarding the matter and O'Neill wouldn't like that.  In Saturdays Star, his agent was quoted as saying it is disappointing that he has played with the problem for six months and was also quoted as saying that the defender would possibly considering his future.

Fergie is using the ref to cover for the pathetic display of the team, as for no-one liking him as if he gives a damn whether people like him or not his hypocrisy is amusing to even me as a United fan but great job he's done. So lucky to get that point because Sunderland played really well and outplayed us but the United players will have had a right hairdryer treatment and rollicking.
