MrMeat, i know too well about Fergietime and old trafford, being a liverpool fan and its unbelievable that time and time again it happens and no-one says anything about it. Rafa Benitez was the first and everyone just laughed at him.

the time added on was four minutes and owen scored deep into the fifth minute. Id love to know why he didnt blow his whistle.

likeafire
Andy Gray on Sky said it was stupid aswell, he had looked over it and he said the sub made was only 15 secs or so and the celebration wasnt long either.

MH was telling the fourth official on the side line before the goal came that the whistle should be gone, but he didnt listen

A good game was ruined in the end today... by the fans aswell, one hit Garrido with a missile and another ran on the pitch and spat at Bellamy.
MrMincePie
Here we go again what do you expect us to do at OT give the opposition a 1-0 headstart every game for some reason the extra injury time was added because of the subs whatever the ref decided it not us, no-one can complain about the goals though.

On a different note i'm a bit knackered just got back from visiting family but was jumping around on a bed with lots of little kids.

1-0 headstart??? Its just the usual BS where yoonited recieve special treatment, the rags v city game is huge. There shouldnt be any mistakes from the ref that could effect the score. How many fouls did they make aswell? Park spent most his time trying to break someones legs. One rule for the rags and another for the rest. How can 4 mins go to 7? There was only a short celebration and a sub.
MrMincePie
Well some are always complaining we get the games given to us at OT, no special treatment whatsoever the people who complain wouldn't be doing it if their team got a decision that went their way wouldn't they. You have to admit though in the second half we did dominate and credit to you guys for scoring we have had decisions go against us like Scholes sending off at Spurs which was a second yellow he had to go so no special treatment there.

As for some of the fans acting like yobs, bit unfair to tar all United fans with the same brush as there is normal decent folk there but some like to act the idiot not a nice thing to see if you wanted to take a kid to a match is it really.
darloboy (Play The Game!)
I would of said the same even if it had been us who scored, glad we would of won but pissed off the way we came with the points, it spoiled the game... turning a great derby into controversial crap. I said before the goal came that the 4 mins was ridiculous.

If it had been the other way around... there would be uproar everywhere SSN would have it at the bottom of the screen, "United robbed".
MrMincePie
Evening everyone.
LAF I had the same problem with the timestamp and muf told me how to fix it. Go to Manage on the green bar at the top, then my settings and then select GMT +1 from the list on the right, it sets it to the right time.

as to the match today, my ManU son went up from London for it. As I said earlier I didn't care who won in the derby matches today but I listened to them on the radio and they sounded exciting so I am looking forward to MOTD2.
The radio reported the ref as saying that he added on 15 seconds for the sub and a minute for the goal celebration and that's why there was 5+ mins.
Personally as a Gooner I do feel that there has always been a 'play till Man U win' approach to stoppage time at OT - but last week Chelsea scored both of their goals in stoppage time at the end of both halves and I've heard plenty of Stoke fans saying that there should never have been that time added on (spoke to a a fair few of them at the reserves game at Barnet last Monday -  not sure what can be done to sort it out though

What could the players do if that was the time that was decided, so in that sense the officials are to blame for allowing that time and the ref for not blowing the whistle at 4 minutes and allowing play to continue. You're always going to have controversy in derby matches but City put up a good fight and enough talent to push for top 6 at the moment always frustrating when decisions don't go your way but thats footie.

Btw not liking the new Pro Evo demo it looks crap.
darloboy (Play The Game!)
No doubt half our team will be be banned after today for some crap reason, probably Tevez shouldnt of started clapping when heading off at HT, it started the missiles being thrown the usual Park seems to walk free from everything even when he tries to end another players career (nothing new there)

Oh yeh... Gary Neville will get away with running over to the city fans which was 50 yards to celebrate in front of them
MrMincePie
That's a bit harsh about Park Meaty. I can't really comment as I haven't seen it yet but I have never thought he was a dirty player tbh

You're just sore over the Adebayor stuff and I do understand because I was really upset over all the criticism that Eduardo got the week before but I doubt that Park did anything that was close to what Adebayor did to Cesc and RVP</<br>Obviously I'll apologise if I am wrong after watching MOTD2 in a minute
FM
Veggie - Of course im pissed off... we have all the media and every EPL club shouting for us to recieve bans every game, then when we get them we wonder why players from other clubs have walked free, with the Adebayor stamp, Rooney did the same last season... he recieved nothing though, everyone is shouting for him to recieve a ban for a celebration aswell Regarding the tackles, Wenger said pretty much the same himself. They get so over-excited and end up fouling someone.

Darlo - No Cruz has not played yet, still injured.

We're in a struggle at the moment. Robinho, Kompany and Cruz are injured. Adebayor is banned and Bellamy will probably be aswell after today. Tevez runs on low-battery after 60 mins and Ireland isnt at his best at the moment as he is carrying that damn foot injury.

Oh... an irish journalist also called our players c***s today in the irish independent.
MrMincePie
Thanks Veggie All sorted now.

Darlo - If this happened for the first with the ref adding on time, then i wouldnt care, but it happens time and time again. I also think that if it was Man City attacking and the four mins were up, then the ref would have blew his whistle.

MrMeat - Totally agreeing with everything your saying, finally someone is on the same wavelength as me
likeafire
Wenger can say what he thinks but he wouldn't be complaining if that decision was given in favour of his team at the Emirates and they scored.  I obviously don't think we're favoured by the refs and have had decisions against us before to even it out. What do they expect us to do at OT?, let the opposition score first . It'll all be forgotten by the time next fixtures come around.
