giggs is a great player......still playing at the highest level after 18 years.....over 800 appearances at united......you don't get that if you're an average player...especially not at a club like united

He won player of the year last year despite only starting about five games.

I doubt that a player at a club outside that little band of clubs at the top would even be considered as a potential nominee with that few appearances in a season.

But hey, one rule for them and all that...

It does take ages for our teams to get going but by now they have all the experience to get the job done then they step up their game when it matters most .

The media ripped into MH for signing so many forwards.. how wrong they were Good job he signed them. I think we're screwed come sunday, Bellamy is useless up front alone so best we can hope for is a 0-0 draw...

There is some decent teams in this season like Sevilla, Atletico Madrid etc so this years competition will be so much tougher.

true...but i think the big guns will get through..would be good to have the odd 'surprise' in there too though...

I think Bordeaux have a chance of scraping through in their group but I think Bayern Munich and Juventus will have enough probably to get through, but the odd surprise is good the last one was Porto winning thanks to Mourinho .

I'm just glad Arsenal won we've had enough bad press to last the whole season! With so many key players missing tonight's match, it took real spirit to come back from a 2-0 deficit. Come on you Gunners! Eduardo has the makings of a great player!
