It's true though Demantoid, the rivalry keeps you going.
You can have a crappy season but if you beat a team you really hate then it doesn't seem so bad.
Of course you could be like Spurs and release a celebration DVD to commemorate the draw they got against us last season - still I suppose that was a red letter day for them Big Grin Ninja

I don't mind it when they're in their usual place (the league below us) though, even though there's no derbies with them.
Of couse, our last results against them (5-1) did help send them down. Which was nice. Laugh

Just finished playing fifa 10 demo. I tried a few team... Chelsea, Barca, Juventus and Bayern Munich. Took time getting used to it and now can run freely. Before when using sprint you could only choose two directions... right or leftCrazy Now I can move in any direction without losing possesion Cool Alot harder to tackle now without giving away a free-kick... be gentle when going in for a tackleLaugh There are a few bugs/glitches and changes will probably be made. The speed of the play is much faster aswell... Anelka seems to kick ass when in spaceCool

Fook knows how Bosingwa has a lower rating then Cashley. Cech and Buffon have a rating off 66LaughCrazy

I also had this bug done to meRoll Eyes

Still looking forward to it, overall quite impressive

What a fab time we had at Wembley, loads of friendly banter outside with the Croatian fans, they were very well supported and their fans all stood up for the whole game and didnt stop singing and dancing, the officials didnt bother to try and make them sit down.i still feel that the atmosphere was better when we were homeless and played around the country but that is just me.
I know Lennon got man of the match, but a few other stuck out for me,Barry had a very good game,Glen Johnson was brilliant pushing forward, but a bit dodgy in defence,he will come up against far superior forwards next year which is a bit worrying, but i think FC has high hopes for him and thats good enough for me.
Now for my girly bit BlushDavid Beckham got by far the biggest cheers and applause ,when he was announced as sub,and when he came on,i know he is no longer a 90 minute player, but very motivational for the team and the fans, Nod
My biggest thumbs up goes to the manager,at last we have one who makes headlines on the back pages of the press instead of the front, who refuses to pander to players, and goes about his job in a professional way,and has managed to get Gerard and Lampard playing together, and has got the respect of the press and the fans.
Another thumbs up for the organisation after the match and the queueing systems set up for the trains.the match finished just before 10,we got a train to High Wycombe(less than half an hour journey)drove back home which is 12 miles past Birmingham, and was in the house at 5 past 12.
Edwuardo got booed everytime he touched the ball Clapping Laugh
Maggie
PS Now i just have to get through Sunday and the Villa Blues game,i feel ill at the thought of ever loosing to them

Great match report Maggie, thanks.

You are going to beat Blues!!!

I know how you feel though, I rather get that way about the Wolves who have been more of our local derby in the past few years and was convinced we would get them in the Carling Cup.

The play offs 2 years ago were stomach wrenching for me, both matches, I have never been so relieved to hear a final whistle blown in my life!! Then we go and muck it up at Wembley that year!!

Gotta admit I am bored of it now. It's not like he's the only player that's ever dived, almost felt sorry for him Wednesday night...

Aren't the supporters devaluing the currency of booing, We know diving is not on, Edy seems
to be going O.T.T.
I prefer to save my boo's for a player that
cost my club ÂĢ10m pounds, or sulked because he wanted to go and play for another club because he wanted to win the C/L.

Totally agree, over use it and wear it out and it's lost its effect..

A bore draw eh, I don't think so sonny Jim

hiya Monkey, only until the 89th minute.
I think it's all about the approach to
the game, If teams like Tottenham allow themselves to be in aura of the top four,
they will hardly ever beat them. We have to remember United haven't won at WHL for two seasons, and forget the 10 before that. Big Grin
