But loan signing only apply to the teams out of the Premiership after the window shuts for 1 week

The transfer window only covers the transfer of players between two clubs.

If a player doesn't have a club, he can sign for anybody, whenever he likes.

There's also an emergency loan system, whereby you can sign a goalkeeper on a short term deal if every senior keeper at the club is injured.

Darlo - chelsea cheated to sign a player and therefore they should be punished. The punishment itself is a bit harsh but its the only way to stamp out the cheating thats occuring in the game.

LAF I understand that they had to be punished, about time FIFA started getting tough but if it was our club that done that we would maybe think it was harsh but also consider that they did wrong and therefore deserve whatever punishment there is, so Chelsea and their fans are feeling hard done by by pointing out other instances but they're appealing anyway.

Hi Spongey , I had a listen to Jason Cundy on Sky Sports earlier and he was confused between tapping up and this ''inducing'' term FIFA have used in terms of the punishment. Clearly not happy but he did seem snappy at the presenter when all they said is what FIFA had stated in their statement .

i heard chelsea are going to appeal......but i think there's going to be more clubs dragged into this....it's rife in the game....everyone knows it...

fifa/uefa seem to be stamping down on the english clubs atm....if they're going to ban players for diving...that will rule out shed loads of players from all over europe/the world.......yet they seem to concentrate on the premier league...

oh i agree lgs(ta for the pm btw... )..but this just isn't confined to english clubs...it's all over the place.how many more clubs are going to be given this suspension?

there's no way this is a one off at all...
