Not bad draw was it . Lengthly trips to Holland and Belgium.quote:Originally posted by Veggieburger:
Well I'm quite happy with that draw.
Did Chelsea get Atletico? If they hang on to Aguerro they won't be a push over. They gave us a difficult time in the Emirates cup pre season and Aguerro is a quality player

Surely the ideal scenario is that all of our three teams and Chelsea get through to the last four. It really rubs it in and gets directly up Platini's nose.
I think you are thinking of Strasbourg.quote:Originally posted by Veggieburger:quote:Originally posted by Garage Joe:

One would prefer Chelsea, Real Madrid, Stuttgart, and for reasons best known to 'Boro fans, Zurich to be in the same group. That's two of 'em gone.
Shame they can't get Bavaria Munich in there too.
Who do you support in the Bundesliga (sp) Joe? I thought that Stuttgart were French not German. I know that bit of Europe changes hands more often than Spurs players contracts but isn't it French at the mo?
Arjen Robben has gone to Bayern Munich, Wesley Sneijder has left Real Madrid for Inter Milan .
I dont see why Celtic have anything to be that upset about the goal didnt change the fact that they needed 3 goals before we scored and 3 after and they never looked like scoring till they kicked Ramsey off the pitch making it 11 v 10. Its not like Celtic havent got a player that regularly dives. Wish they would have some dignity and shut up about it. The referee made a mistake it happens in every game.quote:Originally posted by darloboy07:
Platini is a fool . Eduardo got up after and didn't make a fuss but Celtic do have a reason to feel upset about the decision. AW is of course going to defend his players and the team but he is an intelligent man so can see both sides of the argument.

He is an absolute joke , English teams will be as dominant as ever and he'll get more bitter like Blatter .
Oh lord... this linesman really is shite, four poor offside decisions now which all would of resulted in a goal
Winning 2-0
Swp and Tevez
Haha

Platini does have a point about
the way clubs in England are spending
money. It's all so fragile.
West Ham sign Alessandro Diamanti from Livorno on a five year deal, undisclosed fee .
Fergie expects PL domination in the CL .
Eduardo charged with decieving the referee about what happened against Celtic.
David Bentley banned from driving for a year, he admitted drink driving.

I will be amazed if they stay up,
They managed it last season by the
skin of their teeth, having off loaded
players this season, I think they are almost
certs for the drop.
Portsmouth are in turmoil , but they could still stay up they have some decent players but they could end up selling them if it's that bad.
Pompey are preparing to go down already , they know it will happen.
Trimming the wage bill in August is a bit negative.
No loss to the prem - they've had a good run. A cup + Europe

That in my opinion is the most exciting part.
Imagine the banks suddenly calling in 750 megapounds. It would be great fun watching Man Utd playing AFC United, or Chelsea v Ebbsfleet, further on down the road.

I'm rather hoping that Stoke go down now. But that's me, bitter and twisted.

I think they are now a midtable side, I think there are about 6 clubs worse than Stoke in the premiership, probably a sign of how weak the league is. The top end is very strong, then
it's gets very average.

Whats wrong with Stoke? .

I suppose that I'm vexed with Huth and Tuncay considering them as an alternative to the 'Boro.

Oh I thought that you wasn't keen on them as a side , what can you do if both players wanted to leave.

One could understand them wanting to go to a big team. But Stoke??//?? They might as well have stayed with us. Apparently we will be buying some Derby County striker now.

Maybe they was impressed with what the plan Stoke put to them or see them as a side on the up?. Besides Boro have got some nice cash out of the deal.

I heard Archie Gemmill had
been seen polishing his boots recently.
