This is not good, and to think a couple of days ago I said to Darlo it would be better than the stories of before.
I don't understand why people do this.

Hun, they are idiots and not true supporters, even the "fans" inside are having a go at the West Ham stewards, who have no protection.

Thanks for the Hug before, I forgot to return it in my disgust lol
Well, at least we have equalised!

I'm sure the old bill are well pleased with the prospect of extra time & pens Shake Head

Hun, I've been at a match like this when we beat Leeds and sent them down and they wrecked the Hawthorns that night and I have NEVER been so scared in my life, and the worst thing about tonight is that it has been organised.

Really bad outside according to Sky News, so possibly a good job your team scored, and took it into extra time and given the police time to sort it out

Here have another Hug

I went to a Hammers/Lions match, the last one in fact, I was only a kid and it was bad but not this bad, it's worse because it's an evening game Shake Head

That's exactly it, ours was a night match as well and because of the memories, I wouldn't go to the Hawthorns to watch us play Leeds when we got into the PL the first time.

Millwall smashed up Hull City's away stand last season....I absolutely crapped myself and I had the kids with me too. Frowner

My brother who goes to Arsenal regularly told me firms are still as big and active as they were in the 80's. Disappointed

I hope everyone innocent at the match with West Ham and Millwall are ok tonight.

Oh and on a more positive note....well done Hull City on the win this evening! Thumbs Up

Evening all Wave

Sons mate is in the West Ham end and my mate is in with the Millwall fans. Loads of trouble at the tube station beforehand and one corner of the West Ham fans seem to be causing the aggro according to what they are both texting.

another mate went to see Gillingham who lost to Blackburn but his sons mate who's only 17 got to play for the Gills as a sub tonight so they are happy and proud.

We all knew it would kick off though Lacey, we were even talking about it at the Arsenal Babies match last night.
They really should have been more on the ball regarding the security and segregation - everyone knew that Upton Park tube would be a major flashpoint

I get why they really won't crack down on the segregation thing...Mr L said it was being discussed on the club footie forums last night too. Frowner

My first ever Arsenal v Spurs at Highbury match of memory, I was about 8... I remember people spitting at each other when you had to walk down the tube and the away fans were separated by a metal barrier... but we all walked next to each other....I was petrified and my dad shouted at them to stop being disgusting coz he had us girls with him!

Dunno why I wrote that lol! Just a trip down memory Lane!
Lacey
I imagine that they will hold the West Ham fans back and march the Millwall fans to the tube inside a cordon before they let the Hammers out - or vice versa.

It's the only way to keep them apart imo but the sad fact is that if they want to meet up somewhere for a ruck then they will do.

Wolves match has gone to penalties - I bet LGS is on tenterhooks

I've been going to footie since I was 5 months old - my brother used to take me to Brentford as he was a shareholder there and mad on them. I started watching Arsenal when I was about 7 and have watched them fairly regularly ever since.
Over the years I've seen a bit of trouble but always found it just about avoidable.
One thing I don't like at the Ladies and Babies games I go to is that they have general admission - everyone is mixed.
There is never any trouble but it makes it hard to get an atmosphere going

I was at the Hawthorns in 1982 when Leeds wrecked our ground, I was 16 years old and it was the first time me and my mate had been allowed to go to a night match on our own, it was a treat for us because it wasn't long before we left school.

That night I have NEVER been so scared at a football match and I have been to Villa and Wolves local derbies.

We were sheltered from the worst of it because 2 blokes took pity on us, and they told us to get out of the ground and run down Halford Lane towards where the police would be, we did this and had to go through some Leeds fans who thought it was funny to steal 2 small teenage girls scarves and spit on us, I have never been so glad to see a policeman as I was that night.
