Great game, just a shame about Celtic and their IRA chants/flags Roll Eyes

We had all that shite from the Rangers point of view at the Emirates cup.
Orange order flags etc, a few of us told the stewards that they shouldn't be allowed to put them up.
There's no place for any of that sectarian shite in football

Very true. I well remember "entertaining" Celtic, and a lot of their fans, who came to the pub after, were friendly socialists. However on the day there were sufficient of the ilk who thought not only that they might be Irish, but insisted on being offensive. This was made worse by a number of Rangers fans who turned up on the day and invaded the pitch and causing trouble.
The bottom line is greed.
English clubs know that if they invite either of these two teams then they are guaranteed a huge pay day.

STOP PRESS : Darlo can't remember something Eeker there's a first time for every thing Laugh

Hi Darlo Smiler
We got whupped by Bournemouth...we had more shots..they were just more clinical...well done..I suppose Blush

Evra's penalty was simply awful..still he fancied it..it happens..

Berbs looking good to me...I'm more optmistic than I've been for a while..be a lot happier with Hargreave back and fit..

omg Foster had a shocker Eeker his confidence in his kicking is shot..and that used to be one of his strengths..

Changed my mind about the dogs, looks like rain so staying here, going to Monmore Green tonight anyway to watch speedway with hubby and nephew.

Joe, thanks for that, really like your sig.

Perones, honestly I think you have a real chance tomorrow, for some reason we do not do well in the Carling Cup and I just think early season, new players for us being added to the mix, could leave the door wide open for Bury. I just want a good match and I promise whatever happens I won't take the p1ss, I'm not that type of person!

He's spot on.

I remember Jimmy Bullard playing on when the floodlights failed at Wigan, and he ran past the stationary opposition defence, but he bottled it when it came to actually taking a shot at goal.

The ref was interviewed after the game, and if I remember rightly, he said the goal would have stood because he hadn't blown his whistle to stop play.
