If Vieira signs for Arsenal, that'd be like Wenger is admitting he made a mistake in letting him go in the first place. A lot of managers don't like being made to admit that, so we'll see if Wenger is too proud to do so.

That said, I've been saying they need to concentrate on replacing him since the moment he left, but they've not bothered to do it yet, and their trophy winning aspirations disappeared when Vieira did.

The trouble is, there aren't a lot of players capable of replacing Vieira out there. I suspect Wenger hoped Diaby would do it, but that hasn't worked out. So maybe if they get him back, he can teach Diaby a thing or two.

Hi Mr Meaty , but Everton want more than £15 million and City have upped their offer up to £22 million haven't they? .

Its a bad deal We should put £15mil in take it or leave it. Surely he is worth less if he is forcing the club a move.

It's a clever move by Everton as they have a tight budget and obviously don't have as much cash as City, so they are making City offer more so it's a deal that suits them because now you guys can pay any price they want.

Lescott's good, but he's not £20m good...

Pip , if he goes Everton will find a replacement and they will still be strong without him although resources are tight at Goodison Park.
