BREAKING NEWS Steven Gerrard found not guilty of affray.... Amazingly he is the only one of 7 defendants who has been found not guilty

Afternoon all Wave

Hiya Pinky Hug

colour me stunned - not! Just shows that if you can afford the best legal advice you can get away with most things.

Jay Simpson did a short interview with Arsenal TV online. I'd give you the link but you have to be a subscriber to see it.
He says that he jumped at the chance to go to WBA on loan as they play good football and have great experience.
He had a lot of praise for Tony Mowbray, he said that he should be admired for sticking to his principles of getting the ball down and playing even though they were bottom of the table.

Hyia Veggie, Hug I'm really gald to hear him say that, I TBH was gutted when Tony Mowbray left the club, I really felt we were going in the right direction under him, even after relegation. I also loved the style of footy we were playing, on the ground and passing, but sadly our defenders were too inexperienced for the PL (except for Robinson) and you only need to make the smallest mistake when you are playing the best players in the world. I wish Jay Simpson all the best next season and hope to see him make the first team for you. He is a raw talent who will only benefit from playing alongside your first team players. I couldn't take to Adebayor I'm afraid, he reminded me of Kanu!!

Hope you are feeling better now Pinky and the drive out helped Hug

Jay really does need to make the step up this season, he is getting too old for the babies.
I do like him, he's an honest. hardworking pleasant character, he just needs to improve.
I was gutted for you when Tony Mowbray left you, I think he is a really decent person who deserved to get a lot more success for the style of football you were playing than he did.
I hope that even without him you can come straight back up

This is us welcoming Joey Barton

And from another angle

Like it Clapping Thumbs Up,

LOL Darlo it's one of the loudest I've heard the Emirates.
My tickets for the Emirates cup are for seats very close to wear the 1st video was shot Thumbs Up

Cool Cool, only what he deserves and will get it from footie stadiums around the country. I bet the Newcastle fans aren't impressed with him neither Shake Head, shame they are stuck with a guy who shouldn't be even on the pitch. I'm a hypocrite though as Roy Keane did do some not so nice things on the pitch but he was a tenacious player.

Thanks Veggie, the drive out did help, yet I came back feeling really tired and barely moved yesterday apart from popping down to see a relative who has just had a new puppy.

I think we have a fair chance of coming back up Di Matt seems to have the right idea and we have players scoring for us from midfield again, our biggest problem it seems to me is defending set pieces and when we take set pieces, converting them, hopefully Di Matt can change this.... I shall be watching Celtic think it's tomorrow with interest and still give a little cheer when they show TM!

They scare the pants off me on DS,no way would I ever post on their BB thread, I go into the soaps thread because they have a thread dedicated to Doctors, my favourite soap and one I will disappear off to watch at 1.45!!

It's much nicer on here, it's better than the old C4 days...

That's the thing though Darlo, it's hard to criticise your own players even when they deserve it because it is disloyal.
What's funny about the second video is the flack that Keegan is copping for putting him on! I think he left Newcastle a week or so after that Big Grin

Laugh, then the next messiah comes along Roll Eyes.

Who is according to what you hear, had enough of waiting around to see if Ashley sells the club, or wants more than anything to be the Newcastle manager, poor fans, I've kinda been there so many times with managers and it's not a good posititon to be in..... hope the Toon Army get it sorted... good bunch of fans.

Shame the club has ended in such a mess, but they haven't had it bad as teams like Leeds or Southampton, Luton etc so they are lucky in that respect Smiler. They have passionate fans and hopefully they come back up Thumbs Up.

No that's true, I remember our first season in the PL, we played Leeds at home and panicing because they were such a good team, sad how it changed for them so quickly.
