Maybe, but the Forest will hopefully be always in front I have a little soft spot for them .

yeah he has pinky.
He played the second half against Barnet and captained the babies last night against Lincoln.
He needs to step up this season I feel or I think he will get moved on.
We seem to specialise in producing players called Jay, we also have Jay Emmanuel Thomas and he is a real talent, very tall and strong.
I have a real soft spot for Jay Simpson, I would love to see him make the step up.
You know that Senora Reyes used to teach him don't you?
No I didn't know that. I really hope he makes the step up, he is a really good raw talent and if anyone can polish his skills Arsene and the Arsnal team will.

Afternoon, Forest to me will always mean Cloughie (Brian). What a manager.
Hello Pinkbabe , Cloughie was a right legend my uncle supports the Forest and i've heard some right good stories about the glory days of Forest .

I can remember the glory days, they were a fantastic team

I didn't like him at all back in the glory years, but he had the knack of turning average players, into World Beaters.
I read the Damned United book and it all started to make sense.

Cool, they were indeed with the success they had in Europe and here .

Cloughie was a legend!
Yup Forest were amazing.
But I can also remember when Wolves were a top class side (not a patch on Forest though) and Ipswich
WOWZERS!!

I think I liked him because he was outspoken.
But I also liked Ron Aktinson for the same thing and for giving us such a fantastic team!
quote:Cloughie was a legend!
He had the knack , that's for sure,
What he did, I don't think will ever be repeated again in the modern game,
Peter Taylor was a big part of it
all as well,

Bobby Robson did wonders with Ipswich.
I remember Paul Marriner,John Wark,Kick Mills,Russell Osman,Roger Osborne,Trevor whymark...God that makes me sound ancient!

I remember when Ipswich got into Europe not so many years ago... Wolves, well I remember them being in the 4th division (apologies Wolves fans....)

I remember Ipswich in the early 80's under
Robson being a top side, they were unlucky not to win the league one season, Liverpool got into gear just a the right time, Wolves was before my time, but I know they were a top club in the fifties.

Peter Taylor was hugely underrated for the work he did with Cloughie, I sometimes think he was the brains and Cloughie the mouthpiece, but Cloughie was a legend.

What's up with the forum today Had problems all day...when I select the latest page in this thread, it comes up blank..but I can see the previous pages...you guys bet not be slating the Shakers
Wowza..sounds like Stevie G could be in trouble...although he'll have a top class lawyer so probably won't but reading this..it doesn't sound good does it ?
From the bbc website:
"The jury watched CCTV footage that showed Mr Gerrard and his friends dancing, singing and drinking in The Lounge Inn.
It showed the footballer talking to Mr McGee at the bar for 23 seconds, then Mr Doran elbowing him, and then Mr Gerrard apparently throwing punches.
During his police interview, Mr Gerrard admitted punching Mr McGee but claimed it was out of a belief that his friend was about to be attacked, the jury heard.
In conclusion, Mr Turner told the jury: "If you consider Steven Gerrard was or even may have been acting in self-defence you will acquit.
"But we say on this occasion Steven Gerrard's fists, not his feet, did the talking. This was never self-defence in a hundred years."
Whats amazing me, is that the other 5 'defendents' (his mates) have all pleaded guilty..whilst Gerrard hasn't He better not get sent 'darn'..he's in my fantasy footyball team

Paul Hart was another Forest legend . Cloughie was great, outspoken, opinionated but he was always in control and made ok players into world class players overall a really nice guy .

Did they have a player Eric Gates, ginger hair, long, or did I imagine it, sure they did.

That rings a bell.
I know a few tales from that team in those days
Hello Perones , Gerrard as we all know will probably get away with a fine or something.

He'll be useless when he comes out,
6 months in them showers, he won't be able to walk straight, let alone curl a free kick.

What did you do???
John Wark could challenge Marcus to a "mutton Chops and bad beard/moustache" contest any day of the weak. And he used to growl at attackers
I noticed something watching back to back Prmier League years on Sky on Sunday, the amount of teams who were in the PL and now have dropped into the Championship or even League 1 and stayed there. The PL of 1992, was a very different PL from the PL of 2009, and it also showed what a gap there now is in the PL, could anyone honestly see a team like Blackburn (no offnce to anyone) winning the PL now, it really has become a 3/4 horse race.

He opened up a carshow place that was new at the time by us, he was signing Wolves things for people. Most of the kids were saying we support Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal so I told him who I support , he was nice though .

Darlo how could you!! My ex played footy with him in non league before Bully went to the Baggies and my ex was also at school with Paul Birch, who I met once back in the '80's when he played for Villa. My claims to fame!!

Typical scouser, I bet he was missing his family and wanted to spend time with them over Christmas!
Rafa Benitez has stated that Steven Gerrard will continue to lead the team out of the tunnel,
He just needs to finish digging the ****er first.
The newspapers tell us "Liverpool hit 5 at Newcastle".
Steven Gerrard was quoted as saying "It could have been more".
So he hit a sixth at Southport.
Did you hear Steven Gerrard has been arrested for assault?
Thankfully, Graham Sankey has come forward to confess to the attack, whilst 20,000 Scousers have testified that they saw Gerrard asleep in his bed at the time.
I went to a football match the other day.
A bloke started shouting, "in side! in side!"
I said, "don't you mean 'off side'?"
He said, "nah, Steven Gerrard's playing".
Just been watching the news and saw Michael Shields wearing a "Free Steven Gerrard" t-shirt!
Liverpool FC have made a bid for Newcastle's Joey Barton.
Rafa Benitez says he wants a like-for-like replacement for Steven Gerrard when he goes to jail.
Rafa Benitez has said that he wanted a more attacking side.
I think Steven Gerrard took this a little too literally.
After 4yrs Rafa announces heβs finally found Gerrards best position β from now on heβll be on the wing.
C Wing to be exact.
Carlsberg don't do stereotypes...
but Steven Gerrard does.
(sorry if any offence is caused)
