Evening all
That Crouch story has been doing the rounds for a couple of weeks. Steve Bruce is also after him apparently.
Personally I don't see what the attraction is. I've never really liked him although he can bang them in.
Arry hasn't done a lot of hoovering yet this transfer window - looks like Crouch might be on his way there.

I seriously think Harry is making a total arse up of Spurs.
I think he's the most over-rated manager in the Premier League I really do.

Nope. Who else were they going to give it to? Berbatov already has number 9 and Wazzer has 10. So Owen was the obvious candidate really.quote:Originally posted by love greek sunsets:

Morning Footyfans
I watched the United pre-season against the Malaysian XI...some good link-up play between berbs, rooney and nani good to see Owen bag his first goal!
Bury drew..

and the winning one at that Been on the news this morning too Becks confronted some fans at Galaxy, he said they were overstepping the mark with insults, so approached them to ask them to calm down and tried to shake their hands, but they just carried on swearing at himquote:Originally posted by Perones:

I keep getting error too, but you can retry and it posts so you son't lose it
I can see both sides, but he said these comments were overstepping the mark and that shouldn't be allowed. I also would like to see him in some capacity in the team, as sometimes we do need his passing skills, I still think he has the touch and prescence to change the game when he comes on, and if Owen makes first team footie at Man U he may get a chance too.
Perones when you get error, press the go back on the error message, your post will still be there and then press post now again and it will

It's very strange LGS. I've taken to copying any long posts I make before I post them
I saw that report about Beckham, I don't think it helped that they were playing against Milan.
According to the report I read they booed him constantly throughout the match and had banners against him

I think he is regretting the decision he made to go there now Veggie, don't think his heart is in it, but will honour his contract unless there is some way to get out of it.quote:Originally posted by Veggieburger:

Thanks LGS - doesn't work for me though - mine does the same as Veggie Hi Veggie I'm sticking to copying long posts to my clipboard !!
I do think Beck's heart is in the MLS - I just think he wants to play in the World Cup and therefore needs to play at a higher standard..after that he can settle in the MLS..but who knows!! I think there are only 6 MLS games left this season..not sure about rules on loan deals..could he have a loan period with a big team after that during the MLS close season ? perhaps that's what he is hankering for..
I bet the lifestyle for him and his family in LA suits them down to the ground long term.

Hi perones
This is how yahoo reported it, although they are total crap at any footie stuff, it's the page my browser opens on so I see anything they have first
clicky
They are also reporting that Lampard has spoken about JT leaving Chelsea and it is adding to the uncertainty

Thanks Veggie lmao - here we go again..you read the headline, then the opening paragrraphs then right at the end it has:
"He was substituted after 75 minutes to a standing ovation from the fans."
I can see JT going... dunno why though..unless it's no longer a happy camp down at the Bridge - which is a possibility
At the other end.....
Darlington 0-4 Sunderland
Darlington 2-7 Newcastle
Only Bog knows what the 'Boro, who seem to have retained many good players, will do.
Moin footie fans. xx

This Eto'o/Ibrahimovic deal sounds crazy....
They're paying Inter about ÂĢ40m, giving them Eto'o as well as Hleb, who will be on loan, just to get him.
Add it all together and he'd be 'worth' about ÂĢ75-80m...
It's especially crazy when you consider the simple fact that Eto'o is better than him.

So, how do we all think the Chicago Bears will do this season? Was Jay Cutler a good buy or should they have gone for another quarterback?

Afternoon all
I have a confession to make, I'm watching the Ashes and cheering England on! I normally don't like cricket but it's England innit....
Score if anyone is interested is Aussies 374 -8 England need 2 wickets to win.
We drew 2 - 2 in our last Slovenia friendly, now back to England and Shrewsbury on wednesday night, which I am hoping to go to and Kiddy on Friday night. 26 days to the start of the new PL season.......

Not a buy, surely a complex trade involving swapped players and picks.

Aussies down to last one now, need 129 to win and they have one wicket. Freddie's bowling....

Has this match not turned out a lot closer than England thought when they declared, or does this thing happen all the time.
Villarreal began their preparations for the new season in style with a 27-0 friendly win over minnows Navata.

Haven't got a clue TBH, but England have just won and go 1 - 0 up in the series.... back to something I understand.... footy....
