Man City in talks with Arsenal over the signature of Adebayor!

WTF!!!!!!

What is MArk Hughes playing at? I mean they already have Robinho, Bellamy, and just bought Roque Santa Cruz and Tevez is going to sign for them this week as well. Why do they need Adebayor? That's just being greedy! They will have about 9 strikers if they get Ade and Tevez.

VERY BAD NEWS JUST COME OUT OF SIR ALEX FERGUSONS MOUTH Frowner

I won't be signing anymore players this summer Crying Frowner

I hope it's just a ploy though, although I doubt it.

And finally, although Ibrahimovic is a class player, United already have one very lazy but talented striker in Berbatov. They sure as hell don't want another one.

That is really heart warming Bov,
How are the boys with her.

Not the same, but I remember when my daughter as part of her course had one of these reality
dolls, cried all night, Frowner I ended up getting up with her and walking round the room with it on my shoulders at 3 in the morning, rocking the thing. Mind you I drew the line when as my daughter passed it over and she said go to grandad... Eeker

I travel on the London Underground everyday, If I'm going to get it, I'll get it here, Where we are going is 800 miles from Mexico city where the outbreak started, I think it's here more than there now. Frowner

Testicular cancer originally again. Why dont they screen men Frowner

Really sad news, he is still quite young as well.

Men are supposed to check themselves, like women do with their boobs. I gave my two boys leaflets about it when they were teenagers (they're in their twenties now)
I do think that these sort of health check instructions should be given at school along with sex education

I know, but how many actually do? I don't.

Mind you I would quite happily let a woman do it regularly for me Laugh Razzer

hahaha
Considering how much in love most men are with their anatomy you'd think they'd welcome the chance to have a government approved rummage!

Terrible for John Hartson though. I'm sure the most at risk age group are 16-25.
I know there was another footballer, maybe at a championship club who has also had testicular cancer recently.
Perhaps more men talking about it will raise awareness

Ahhhh but that's different. I think the balls are a kind of no go area for men to touch themselves. It just feels wrong. Or am I just odd?

Actually don't answer that, it was a rhetorical question. I know full well I am odd Laugh Razzer

Yea we are but they do screen women as well for cervical and breast cancer. They do not do this for men for testicular or prostrate despite it being just as much a killer.

Ironically the last awareness campaign they used footballers.

true although we don't get screened for breast cancer until we are 50+ I think. I'm 47 and have never had a screening.

i really wish that the NHS would put a lot more resources into prevention rather than cure.
We need to get a programme of sportsmen to maybe publicise these sorts of cancers as well so that men are more comfortable talking about them.

ION what do you think of the City/Adebayor story? Rumour is they are talking about offering 20 million for him.
I'd be inclined to snap their hand off tbh, I've felt that his head wasn't at the Emirates last season. he has recently given an interview to the Arsenal mag talking about his love for the club but it's too little, too late for me.
I still rate him as a player though
FM
Wasn't there a medical bulletin announced recently where some top European doctors and surgeons said that 6 out of 10 women who are treated for breast cancer need not have had the treatment. I think I worded that poorly. They meant that they needen't have had radiation therepy etc and that it could have been treated with other medicines instead?

It was on Radio 1 last week I think.

Exactly my thought was to bite their hand off as long as we could get another experienced striker in to replace him (preferably someone who can also head the ball for a change). He just didnt look interested during the second half of the season. Pity we arent as sexy as beyonce though Roll Eyes

Blasphemy Eeker
We are totally more sexy than Beyonce (when we are firing on all cylinders that is).
I'm beginning to get quite an optimistic feeling about this season - lord knows why as I am usually the most pessimistic fan in the world.
Still I hope for great things.

I did have a feeling that Ade was on the way out after the press conference after the Stoke game. AW was asked if he thought that Ade would be an Arsenal player next season and the boss hesitated before he answered.
That told me that AW wasn't happy with him and would get shot for the right price

Aye Mr Pie (Sorry but the abbreviation Mr Meat just sounds wrong Eeker )

it is harder...grrr hate it when you spotted a bargain player..then they ramp up the price...Baines was a star last season..only cost me 4.5..now he's 6.5 Mad
Perones
I won't be joining the fantasy footie league as I am totally the worlds worst at them.
I seem to curse players by choosing them - or inspire them to play well against Arsenal Mad

I did have a (not into footie) mate who used to pick her one for work on really weird criteria.

One year she had one made up of players who would give you the highest score at Scrabble Big Grin

another year she had a team who scored highest on her gaydar

Neil Harris of Millwall had it, as did Jason Cundy once time Spur....
I was hoping that Lance armstrong having it and his subsequent book about it (which is a brilliant read) and livestrong yellow wristband campaign. Would raise awareness, but cycling still isnt that big a sport over here sadly.
