Morning any footy fans about....

Michael Owen has been linked with Man Utd, but Man Utd are refusing to comment on this, Sky Sports News are reporting that he is having a medical before joining them on a free transfer.

Chelsea have rejected a second bid by Man City for John Terry, (thats because Di Mat is bringing him to West Brom!!)

Franck Ribery has said that he wants to join Real Madrid. The 26 yr old insists that he is determined to complete a move to the Bernabeu.

Hiya Croc, any activity on the Millwall front,
gonna be sad starting the season still
in Div 1 after so much effort last season,
So close, but I can only see more of the same this year. Plus the teams that came down will add spice to Div one,

Fergie holds the purse,
He'll sign him on a pay if you play basis Nod

that's if the story is correct.

Got Sky Sports News on and the yellow breaking news banner is saying Michael Owen to have medical today before completing move to Man Utd, must admit the news has surprised me, hes very injury prone.

hmmm i'm kinda warming to the idea of Owen...injuries aside..his record is still 1 in 2...oh and my other doubt..is his heart still in footy ? with his obsession with horses.. I did wonder when I saw him in his top hat and tails in a horse carriage behind the Queen at Royal Ascot Roll Eyes

Fergie is used to dealing with injury prone players, after all he put up with Saha for years!

Owen to United if it happens is definately a panic buy by Fergie.

Ribery & Benzema, his original targets are not interested about going to United. So, Fergie panics into buying Owen.

I thought Fergie would actually spend some money, as he has ÂĢ80 million to spend, on someone like Eto'o or Agbonlahor and still have plenty of change.

Nothing on the website....I think they will really go for it this season though cos getting t the play-offs was a right bonus last year...we're so used to mid-table obscurity!

Hi Carpet Wave

I'm not so sure myself...I cannot see a man with fergies experience not having plans in advance. He'll have known Ronaldo was going and made plans to get a traditional winger (i doubt you'll ever get a prolific goal scoring 'winger' as Ronaldo), and Tevez was never going to replace Ronnies goals. I personally think Owen is a win-win situation if the contract is right.

If they get Owen, the strike force would be Rooney and Berbs, with back-up option of Owen, plus over the season developing Welbeck and Macheda.

Anyways, just about opinions obviously Smiler
