BOING BOING .
Sky Sports said that West Brom are going to continue looking for a manager, but didn't mention any potential names to be linked with the job so far.
Hyia Darlo
Boing boing to you on this dull afternoon!
BBC messageboard full of posts saying Roberto Di Matteo will be appointed as manager tomorrow, but nothing on either official website of so far as I can see Sky.
Not sure about that one if true
Eto'o has been offered new Barca contract.
Freddie Shepherd is heading a consortium to launch a 60m takeover of Newcastle Utd, with Alan Shearer to remain as manager
Wonder what the Toon Army will make of that.

Newcastle first day of the season at the Hawthorns, what a match that will be .
We'll just have to wait and see, they got to get someone in with experience. The Albion said when they went down, they had a plan to come back up looks like they haven't so far .

Its a typical Albion cock up, I will support them til the day I die, but they make my blood boil at times....... Peace knew that TM would in all probability take the Celtic job, so he could and should have had some idea of the type of manager that he was going to appoint and as soon as TM had announced to him that he was taking the Celtic job, he should have had a list of people to speak to at least in his head, back to pre season training, no manager, no signings, honestly they make me mad at times!!
Newcastle, going to that one and looking forward to it, should be a good match.
They should have had a back up plan for Mowbray going, Jeremy Pearce is an idiot though at times he says one thing then does another. No wonder the fans are not happy with the way things are going .
Totally agree with you. In one respect I like that Peace has kept the club on a sound financial footing, which means that we havent got worries about going bankrupt or anything like that, but I would also like to see a LITTLE cash spent attracting the type of manager in who will bring players in who will take the club on and make in into a club who will gat to the PL and stay there instead of all this constant yo-yoing.
Am going to have to rush off and stop fight between youngest cat and bumble bee that is happening in kitchen!!

, it's great they are being careful with finances but WBA is at PL standard and deserve to be there, so they should be prepared to put some cash in in order to try and make it back but being careful at the same time. Looks like they won't bother getting players in until they have found a new manager.
Sorry about delay in answering, youngest kitty decided to pick a fight with a bumble bee and I had to separate both and rescue bumble bee out of kitchen. Youngest kitty now staring at me as if she hates me!!
I would like to think we have the potential to become an established PL club, but this is the time that Peace needs to splash the cash and appoint an manager who will attract the tyupes of players we need to do this. We have the ground now sorted out with new seats going in the Brummie and the Halfords Lane stand being refurbished, the Academy is starting to bring through good young players who, possibly be making a claim for first team places next season, which can only be a good thing.
I would like to see a new manager who can take on the way TM had the team playing, but give us a defence that will actually be there instead of all over the place, you cannot get away with losing the plot even for a millisecond against the type of world class players we were up against last season.
Bring in a couple of older defenders maybe from Championship teams or PL teams and be prepared to pay them the type of money to come. I still have great hopes that Neil Clement (if he can stay fit) will make a difference in defence (yes my shirt has Clement 6 on the back!!)
and we were linked yesterday with Simon Cox, who had been given permission to speak to us, strange that we were close to a signing with no manager in place, but I suppose this fuelled the Irivne rumours.
Anyway looking forward to Sunday when I am going to the Open Day at the Hawthorns! And buying my new shirt for next season, though my husband doesnt know this yet

Getting the youth through is promising because they are the future . If Albion want to return then they have got to spend money in what is available trying to acheive it, even if it means selling some deadwood you don't need to improve in all areas of the club.
We need to shift the types of Luke Moore, dont know why he was brought in the first place, and some of the fringe members of the squad, to bring in the younger players from the Academy and buy the type of players to take us back up again.
Sky Sports website are saying they have had sources saying Di Matteo will be appionted as the new manager....... We will see.

Di Matteo, hmm don't know what to think of that?.
I agree on getting rid of the fringe members of the squad, it frees up money which could be used for the academy and for transfers. Some of the younger players could be used for the first team if ready to give them some confidence and to promote the new era of the club .

I expect there will be a few surprise announcements come tomorrow.
The window will be open, so all deals done already will officially go through, and there's usually one or two that the media haven't picked up on.

Hello Disley .
I heard that Miguel Veloso will most definetly be coming to the Premier League according to his agent, who spoke to someone on Sky Sports. Bolton, Man City, Aston Villa and Arsenal are meant to be the teams interested in him .

Hi Darlo Disley
Aye, all the talk/gossip is all about Valencia so winger-wise we'd have giggs, nani, tosic and him...not bad..let's see nani step up to the plate this season (don't you think Nani looks a bit like Michael Jackson (rip) in the Thriller video nani & mj seperated at birth? )

Haha, I'm sure we can match Citeh's Β£500k per week wage offer.

Is that confirmed Moonie?
Where was he before, MK dons wasn't it.
Let's hope for your sake he can step up better than Ince did when he made the swap
Veggie , I left a link for you about Arshavin a page back which is interesting saying that he wouldn't mind going to Barca at some point.
Arsenal were targetting Felipe Melo from Fiorentina, he's a really good midfielder but he's decided to stay there.

yep I saw it.
It's a nothing story, bit like me saying I'd like to live in Totteridge at some point - if it happens it happens.
It's just the tossers at Sky making stories where none exist
It doesn't matter if players come and go as the club is still there , sometimes though the constant speculation is so annoying and so distracting not only for the club but the fans.

Moonie, how about Kevin Doyle signing for Wolves . Β£6.5 million on a four year deal, he says in the E&S that Wolves won his heart over the other teams. They are also close to buying Andrew Surman from Southampton.

They do have different levels for coaching. My son has some of his coaching badges, that's how I know.
My knowledge stops there though
