Hi Footyfans Smiler darlo Smiler Joe Smiler rzb Smiler

I know its probably a load of bull..but if kaka does go to Madrid..I can see Ronaldo following him... Eeker

Barry is a good signing for Man City..quite a midfield with Ireland, Wright-philips and Barry.. for all fear that their owners would sign daft players..they seem quite sensible so far...next season should be a cracking one

The sound coming out of Gigg lane is deafening..still its very early..i havent seen "Ribery joins the Shakers" yet Blush

Hi darlo, have we seen the last of Justin now, Confused and i don't hold in with Russ taking Max. Shake Head

Yes they have both gone, gonna miss Justin Frowner, remember him back from the Becca days. Russ used to be a good character but in the end became boring and stale because they run out of ideas.

They don't like it in Cardiff either - last time they played here, they got thumped by Bangladesh Laugh
I think it's time the Tests were moved around and shared more fairly - it is the England and WALES Cricket Club, after all.

On the subject of fans, you never hear about good stuff about us - I remember a few years back when Ronaldo (the brazillian one) scored a hatrick against United in a 4-3 win for United which lead to United going out on away goals...when he was subbed..Old Trafford gave him a standing ovation.

On the subject of brazillians, remember this from a couple of yers back:

The US secretary of state went into the White House to see George Bush to report on casualties in the War. "We've lost a brazillian Mr President"
The secretary of state was suprised when George Bush held his head in hands, shaking his head sadly. White faced, he looked up and asked:
"How many actually is a brazilian?" Blush

good luck to them,
do Oxford still play at the Manor Ground,

No The Kassam Stadium which is out on the Backbird Leys side of town.

Anyway, funny footie tales..My old boss was called to his daughters nursery one afternoon as she had been using inappropriate language. The teacher had asked the children if they knew any nursery rhymes from home and she stood up and sang 'Shit on the Villa,we always shit on the villa.'As a die hard Birmingham supporter my boss wasnt sure if he should be proud or embarrassed! Good move for Barry. He was never realistically going to get in the Liverpool side ahead of either Mascherano or Alonso was he?

So he's gone to a club where he'll be guaranteed first team football, he can settle in and make the position his before all the inevitable superstars come and the success starts. They have the money to build a top class team around him and Robinho meaning Barry will have a realistic chance of first team football in a team that will probably win major trophies in the next 2 or 3 seasons.

Ambition is always an attraction for a footballer when looking for a new club. City's ambitions over the next few seasons are much higher than Villa's, so how anyone can say it's a step down is ridiculous.

i think it's more the fact ppl can't get used to the fact city are now a huge force in the transfer market.....they have massive financial clout.....in terms of wages etc they can offer players....

they are the new kids on the block finance wise....and alot of people don't like it.....cos now city are an option whereas before it was utd,chelsea,arsenal,liverpool.......now city are in a financial position to outgun everybody.....

i agree city's ambitions are higher....they'll have talked to barry about who they want to sign......or they're already in talks with etc.....so although they don't have champions league football this season.....it may well come in the next few years.....

that's the thing barry will have looked at.....whereas realistically....would villa be competing transfer wise.....and be able to maintain a push for europe???.....they pretty much fell away second half of the season....

When I say Barry is insane, I say it because whilst Citeh's ambitions are higher than they once were, they still remain the comedy club of the region.

Only Citeh could sign somebody like Robinho, talk about Champions League qualification and league titles, and then spend the season mostly in the bottom half of the league.
