He was linked with a 8 million move to Chelsea before. You're keeping Wheater though by the looks of it. Downing will probably go to Spurs or Villa.

You are always remarkably well informed Darlo Nod
Do you know which team is taking our star multi million poond striker Alves?

I tend to look a lot for information on lots of teams Smiler. I haven't heard much about Alves yet tbh. 12 million now must feel like a waste of time, as you won't get that much for him probably if you sold him now.

used to be a big fan way back in the 70s aint that interested these days
though to be honest, and always had a soft spot for Newcastle as well,
even more so since I met the missus (geordie lass) and I recently moved
up that part of the world as well, so I feel their pain,
even if SOME folk feel the need to have a 'pop' at my home team.

Stoke deserved to stay up Nod. Potters have done Staffordshire proud Smiler.

Hi everyone Hug

I've had a fabulous day at the Emirates, did the pro Wenger march beforehand, really enjoyed the match and then we hung around outside and saw the players leave.
When the boss left we were all singing and waving too Big Grin

So sorry to Boro and Newcastle - what a pisser Frowner Frowner. We were keeping up with the other scores, tbh every Arsenal fan there wanted Hull to go down.
Hopefully you can bounce back next season guys Hug Hug

Plus all the managers they've gone through in the past couple of years..
With loads of room left over for all the trophies they've picked up in the last 30 years.

It's almost like an illusion.
One knows that Newcastle are too big a club to go down and yet before one's very own eyes....
I've no problem with my club going down, we knew that by last October but Newcastle Eeker
They need a complete sort out.
The big mistake by the current Chairperson was to get rid of that big bloke who appears to wear lipstick.
But the problems go back to former people who bled the club dry of cash, and thence made a Hospital pass to Ashley. No due dilligence see?
IMHYCO although I am not an expert.

At least you know that it's more than just a job to him.

Nod Hug. The club was in such a mess before Shearer took over but he's got to pick up the pieces now if he stays.

Come on Sheff Utd Clapping.

Burnley: Paterson, Eagles, Thompson, Gudjonsson, Elliott, Penny, Duff, McCann, Rodriguez, Caldwell, Alexander, Carlisle, Kalvenes, McDonald, Jensen, Blake

Sheffield United: Beattie, Howard, Bromby, Hendrie, Halford, Montgomery, Kilgallon, Ward, Naughton, Bennett, Lupoli, Cotterill, Quinn, Kenny, Walker, Morgan

That's it, but it also poses a problem as to what to do with Kinnear (I said that job was too big for him when he took it given his past health problems)

Well, I don't want to gloat, but I'm sick of hearing all this "too big to go down" rubbish. No club (except the very wealthiest who can spend their way out of it) is too big to go down. Confused

There's a huge myth about Newcastle - their fans aren't any more "special" than other clubs' fans. You'd think, by the way some of them go on, that all of them have been going to every game since they were babies.

If that was the case, how come, when my OH was studying in Newcastle (just before Keegan was manager for the first time), he used to be able to walk into any home match he fancied, because they rarely got more than 20,000 through the gates? Confused

Im glad you said 'some' there Deman. I again reiterate that I'm one of those that have never believed we were too big to go down

Oh aye, know there are realistic ones - but the flippin sports media are always carrying on as if Newcastle are some special case. I doubt the Baggies or the Smoggies wanted to go down either, but Sky and co only seem to care about the Toon fans.

I honestly think, if Allardyce had been left to get on with the job, you'd have stayed up.

I have to say that I thought, given the wealth, ground, fans, and players they were too big to go down.
Mis-management on a huge scale methinks.

Darlo, if it had been us, would you have said the same thing?

I would have Nod if you'd got the result you needed as it doesn't matter who you want to go down or not it's the result that counts. Is this debate round 2?.
