Feels like a defeat after the performance.
Still it bodes well for the remaining games.

Right, going to go wash pots before I discharge my disappointment in the BB thread.
Thanks for the company all.
Oh well....Wales are the first British team to have won their opening game...and we are only just getting used to the round ball in these parts

See what you think after next week

I expect nothing so I'm never disappointed
That was a very Spurs like performance from England with all the Spurs players in there.
From the very first minute to the very last.
Mrs Jer came down for the second half. So I didn't want to spend much time on here!
Having seen Middlesbrough trying to defend 1-0 leads so many times we wrote the script for that one. No surprise that Russia scored.

I recall the Burnley equalizer being really late!
It's so sad that the very first thing you heard on the first day of the Euros was England's drunken yobos causing trouble. Yes, I know it was the French as well but where ever England fans go chaos ensues.
How do you sort it?
Heaven alone knows
Banning the England team/fans from tournaments?
That wouldn't work for me. England's yobs would still go just to cause trouble, methinks. So I have no idea
I have had the news on the radio/television this morning and all I have heard is trouble/England failing to win
News mdia, what about Wales?
First time at a tournament for donkey's years, won the first game. On the whole a good performance I thought. Well done the Welsh for showing us how it's done and well done the Welsh fans for making the noise you did and supporting your team with such enthusiasm
Yes, I am an Englishman. I am feeling very ashamed of our so called "supporters."
Enough said methinks...
And it was reported that it wasn't the English that started it Moons A gang of Russians and French rushed them. Yes, they retaliated but they were only trying to protect people as well as look after themselves. There were people running into cafe's and restaurants to get out of the way where shutters went down

I wasn't talking so much about last nights debacle Sprouty but even before the first game, some English fans where boozed up and causing agro.
I know the Russian and local *Ultras* another name for organised thugs, in my opinion, caused a lot of problems before and that the Russians "charged" the English fans at the end of the game but it seems to me no matter where English fans go, trouble follows.
Just saying, that's all
See we are talking about thuggery again and no mention of how well Wales did too win their first game the Euros
Pat Jennings still has the same haircut!
Neil Lennon, there is just something about that fella that I don't like.

Well, they really have 'bigged up' Robert Lewandowski. Let's see if he lives up to the billing!
Good luck to NI - that Poland team contains some very good players.
Polish keeper seems to like to come out quite far.

They do look good on the ball.
Nice to see Chris Brunt (ex-Wednesday player) being interviewed. Very popular when he was at Hillsborough.
Poland are running the Irish ragged at times. Keep this up and I can see them winning comfortably.
Hi EChave you done the match predictor on the BBC website?

No I have not, I have a terribly bad record at predicting football matches.

Well in a moment of boredom the other day I did it...being not burdened with any form or football knowledge ...I'm doing quite well

It would seem going on results so far that a one goal swing should be used for all predictions.
How did he miss that ??
ooofff
Good...all going to plan....will start betting soon, maybe...I'm becoming a bit of a Cyril the Octopus
HT and still all-square - a point would be a great result for NI.
Glad to see NI have reached HT still at 0-0. They have ridden their luck but I hope they manage a point, if not more
Got to say, that is what you get when you setup to play a very defensive game.
Big decision now for NI, do they go out and try for an equaliser?
I think that is a reasonable score for the game. Poland dominant, NI did not create enough for me. Tough ask if that is NI gameplan for the tournament.
Got that result bang on too....the only match I got wrong so far was England who I predicted would win

Told you about the one goal in it. What is your prediction for the Germany game?
UEFA has announced that any further violence by "fans" of either England or Russia may lead to the disqualification of that country's team.

It will be interesting to see how the Germans perform. Have them down as contesting the final. They are usually there or thereabouts.
Tough group for NI to get out of now.
Be back in 1 hour. Anyone else likely to join me?
